I had a rough draft of a paper due last Wednesday, but pretty much everyone (easily >75%) in the class chose not to turn in a rough draft b/c of one of:

1) Rough drafts in college are stupid
2) The TA in this class (who is responsible for paper feedback) is a ****ing moron
3) It's only a 5 page paper to begin with

So anyway, the TA gets up friday all mad about only getting 4 papers or whatever, and closes her big speech by saying that anybody who doesn't turn in some resemblance of a rough draft by today's class loses 30% of their overall paper grade. fwiw, the paper in its entirety is worth 5% of the overall grade, so **** it. So last night, I wrote a ~3 page rant about how writing rough drafts for a 5 page paper was dumb, and why expecting people to stress out over 30% of 5% is mouthbreathing at best.

I'm supposed to give a written assessment of the class and the TA today but I feel like I've already done my part. Tempted to just staple the paper to the assessment.

most of the time i would just write the paper then make some stuff wrong and call it a rough draft.

meh, i'm not that interested in the feedback that this particular human has for my paper. She'll focus on formatting **** more than actual paper content and even then will say some blanket statement like "you present some good ideas, try to develop them more! 8/10"

That was rare but people like that shouldn't be TAs or even worse future professors.

That TA is ridiculous but whatever professor assigned that PowerPoint seems worse. Depending on what steps 1 and 2 are that assignment seems like a joke.
What course is that for? I'd definitely troll and write about instituting the handicaps from Harrison Bergeron or smth and maybe even try and institute eugenics. Diversity through uniformity, imo.
