Re: racism amongst friends. Hilarious story.

A couple years ago I was sitting with some friends watching football at my house. It was me, my then-gf, yeotajmu (I'm pretty sure he was there for this), yeota's roommate, yeota's brother, my other roommates, some other friends... like a dozen people or so sitting in my living room. I had one friend there who was the only other Giant fan with me and was also black (one of the few black friends we had... our school was like 90+% Caucasian no exaggeration).

One of our roommates was out of town. He was rushing back to get to see the beginning of the Skins-Giants game, but he was a bit late. Just as he came in the door, 2 Skins secondary players went up to intercept a pass and knocked it away from each other. Both were black.

He is standing there, just in the door, and after seeing this, he says quite loudly: "damn ****ing ****ers." (yes, the bad word to call black people).

The whole room gets SILENT and awkwardly looks at my black friend... who stares up at my roommate that just walked in and simply says, "Daaaaaaaaannnnnnnnng."

To which the roommate, turning red, replies, "Oh my gosh. I'm sorry. I didn't even see you there."

Long moment of silence, then we all burst out into hysterical laughter. It has been a running joke ever since. Whenever the black guy gets drunk, he'll always come up to my old roommate and yell, "HEY MAN remind me how I am your ****er!!!" and it's funny. Thankfully he had a good sense of humor about it and they've become good friends since then. I actually just made a joke to the two of them about it today... "DFNs" has become a term we use to mock him pretty regularly (the roommate who said it).

LKJ, if that happened in my group of friends we'd all laugh hysterically and make fun of everyone. Touchy group you're with if everyone is all that sensitive.

we threw a party this year and the bf of one of my roommates brought some friends, one of whom is from barbados or bermuda or bahamas or something with a B that's down there and warm. we (as in myself and my roommate) were playing pong and are getting pretty hammered. someone eventually tells a black people joke and this dude from B-country says "hey now!"
I answer "Shut up Justin, you're just tanned."

Oh, nobody was really that sensitive about it. I can't blame them for being briefly shocked that I said that (because I was obviously not kidding when I said it, I meant it, I had just misheard what was said).

The black guy in question couldn't stop laughing about it; he actually didn't even initially hear me.

a friend of mine got a speeding ticket in oklahoma which he has not paid due to being pretty sure that he will never drive again in oklahoma. last weekend i was coming back from the casino with him and he got pulled over and written for a warning for having a headlight out and ticketed for not having his proof of insurance. the cop did not mention this outstanding speeding ticket in oklahoma
