Yeah I'm letting her reputation play a little too much of a role. She's been with a friend of mine who is a deadbeat and the psychology of me getting her after him would put me as a lower valued human than he is.

I don't like that line of reasoning at all, is it normal for others?

Term over here is known as "sloppy 2nds". Sounds so bad

If you like her and think it could lead somewhere just bite the bullet and forget about the past.

i got with a girl recently who used to be with a friend of mine

however it's worth noting i also got with her BEFORE they dated too so it's not as bad

also he dumped her for someone else and 6 months had passed so i felt like it was a socially acceptable action

Yeah we use that term too, but I consider it more in the literal sense...

It's been a few years since they got together (which i think is very important and should negate whatever "sloppy seconds" discussion there is). See I'm not terribly interested in her (she's nice/semi-interesting, but she's maybe a 6/10 and i'd like to start aiming higher), there have been other girls in the last few weeks that are better so I don't want to settle for the one that obv wants me. She'd be easy to get with, but I'd prefer to spend time working on the others.

Any Micro-Econ majors?

I didn't know people in the US actually celebrated thanksgiving until this year.. Thought it was just like another 'holiday' that most people didn't even notice and went to work as usual. /observant.

So how many of you guys had this whole week off, I think its crazy that a lot of universities still have school on Mon-Wed, as most of my professors cancel Tuesday and Wednesday classes anyways.

i technically had class today but just went home last night. yesterday i had something due in every class i have, run so bad.
11-25-2009 , 04:16 PM
both of my classes were canceled today, and both of my professors used the same words "theres no point".

yesterday (tuesday) i had three classes. about 50% attendance. we should just get this week off and shorten winter break by a few days.
11-25-2009 , 04:16 PM
Ouch, Yea I actually had a paper due this week, but class still was canceled, just had to drop it in his office.

Oh and I got like 5 pts, like 1%, extra credit for showing up on Monday because less than half did. Score.
