The correct answer is "whatever a jury says it is worth."

Seriously.

No, I mean REALLY seriously.

This is a key concept for a PI attorney to grasp . . . DUCY?

I would wait until closer to the final to make an outline. But that might just be me, because I know if I outline two months before a final, I won't remember that stuff by the final.

Or it is "whatever the other side thinks a jury will say it is worth."
Or it is "whatever will make your client very happy."
Or it is "whatever you think the other side will pay to not have to litigate it."

Also, don't you think it is a good idea to ask for more than you think a jury will think its' worth? Seems like a basic negotiating concept.

Got cold called on a big case today that I had just skimmed and used canned briefs on, and I got by just fine with little to no problems. Makes me feel more confident about "the method" now.

it's the 3rd stinking week of class! you don't need to be doing anything and certainly not studying books and yada yada. Just relax, law school is different but you seem to be putting it on a whole new level, which causes paranoia, confusion, stress, etc.

RE-****ing-LAX and you'll be fine. That attitude, plus some hard work >> study books in the 3rd week

godjrxxx,

who are you?

Somebody that does not feel the need to post over ten times a day, when he has nothing of value to say. Perhaps you should give it a try?

Already did, I got work done but it was too boring.

I provide value by pointing out flaws. That inspires change.

For example, maybe if you weren't boring and had a personality you would have enough to say to occupy 11 posts per day? If that inspires you to change your diet, lose weight, get your acne treated and read the newspaper and a magazine like National Geographic, maybe you'll finally work up the balls to approach that hairy girl in your Business Transactions class, break your streak of 24 years without sex and finally have something worthwhile to contribute to society.

I wish Noah's initial post was in the OP still, where he said he studied like an hour a day during the week and one weekend day. Outlined his notes before class and boom, success. Instead, this is the OP (it conveys a similar message)

The point is, law school USED to have a well deserved reputation as crushing souls. Now with the internet, different teaching methods, all those books/guides, outlines, case briefs, etc. law school is not HARD it's just DIFFERENT. People approaching it with the mindset that it's something else are just setting themselves up for massive failure when they realize this.

Dearest Manupod,

You continue to post more than your intellectual capacity warrants. You should take a break and work on that.

Your Friend,

P.S. You're a douchebag.

Hey Manupod,

What Law school do you got to? If you're crushing so hard it must be in a T10 right?

Praetorian,

Did you name your 2+2 handle after the ancient roman jurists known as 'praetors' on purpose?

Fly, Eyedea, et al.,

I need to take the MPRE this fall. I'm not signed up for barbri. Could you recommend which books I should get/basic study strategy? Thanks
