Re: The Bristol student poker thread

Taxis from Bristol to Bath are terrible. I can maybe arrange the odd trip over to Bristol in the new semester to stop all those bb/100 going on taxis!

And also managed to spin £100 into £600 at the 50p game today. Successful gambling afternoon.

Cardroom manager said he had plenty of seats left, so I think buying in on Saturday directly should be fine.

I go there now and again, but mostly to play the omaha game, not tournaments.

Playing the Deepstacked but will probably bust quickly! Are they going to run bigger than 50nl cash on Sat/Sun? Would like to play some 1/2 or something.

1/2 omaha will run, but will run really big, by 1am itll be 2-3k deep. 50/1 ROE will also run, and maybe a 1/2 holdem if enough interest. With 160 runners in tournament I imagine there will be a decent variety of cash games.

I can act as the 2+2 beacon - I'm the chubby bloke with big ears. Think Shrek, but not green. I'm taking Tentacle+his friend from Bath, have two seats free if anyone else wants to squeeze in.

This all depends on getting permission from my wife, but she got a bouquet of flowers tonight so Im hoping that will help

I just heard there is only one seat left.

I don't know what the policy is regarding alternates though.

Anyone know how to unreg? Have too much to do so If I can unregister or transfer the seat to someone else that would be ideal.

If you want to play, Tentacle and I were told to come back tomorrow at 3pm for the start of the alternate list. Guess I'll be grinding cash games waiting to get a seat!

I was sat near you for much of Saturday - you were on the £1/£2 DC table and I was in the tourny on the table next door. Your description of being like Shrek was surprisingly helpful. I didn't say hello cos I'm weird like that, plus you were too engrossed in trying to work out what the winning hands were at showdown in your crazy game.
