Re: Biggest courseload you've done?
grunching --
I took 19 one semester sophomore year, all Math/CS iirc, all Tuesday-Thursday. It was pretty hellish.

Re: Biggest courseload you've done?
graduating business management major (actually doing my last paper as i procrastinate on 2+2)
have taken 21 before but mainly do 15 and 18's
The 300 levels principles of blah and HR management and operation management all have a group project at my school.
The key is to meet up once and divide the project up and just piece it together via e-mail. i also work 35 - 40 hr work weeks. (not the semester i took 21) but you get the gist

Re: Biggest courseload you've done?
I did 9 hours once in a, I think, 5 week summer session, which meant 3 classes that were 2 hours and 50 minutes twice a week. It was pretty brutal and a ****ty start to my summer.

Re: Biggest courseload you've done?
did 19 this semester and basically ****ting bricks waiting for grades because of god damn science requirement courses. pretty much focused on the 5 classes for my major/minor and neglected this and it could prevent me from graduating after the summer semester.

Re: Biggest courseload you've done?
I took 22 or 23 once which sucked ass, they were all core classes. I was ChemE. I took 18 credits for most semesters again which was stupid since I came in with ~30-40 credits through AP yet took full course loads like every semester for 4 years.
I had friends in Econ take 27-29 a couple of semesters in a row.
There was this weirdo in some of my Econ classes that was taking around 40+ credits in a semester. He had like 5 majors. He head nodded after every thing a professor said. He took some independent studies and other non class classes but he was insane. Not sure what he did with himself but I know the newspaper did an article on him.

Re: Biggest courseload you've done?
I took 18 back to back my last 2 semesters, so it included the highest level classes I needed, didn't have any issues and pretty sure I could've done at least 24 pretty easily. My major wasn't too difficult though.

Re: Biggest courseload you've done?
I did 18 a few semesters ago. Really makes 15 seem like a breeze.

Re: Biggest courseload you've done?
I did 20 once. 2 of them were marching band, which obv isn't hard but was a commitment from 4:30-6:30pm M-F, and then basically all of Gameday on Saturday.
The rest were French 3, Calc II, Physics I, and Orgo. I stacked my MWF with these classes from 8am-noon, put Orgo lab on Friday afternoon, and Physics lab on Th morning I think. It was hectic but I didn't drown. Blocking my time for what I needed to do was key. If I couldn't stack the classes one after the other, then every day would've sucked; I hate 1-2 hour breaks.

Re: Biggest courseload you've done?
What majors are you guys taking that you need to take 20+ credits? Im a business management major and have taken 18 at the most during my first two years and am still a few credits ahead of the pace I need to be at to graduate in 4 years.

Re: Biggest courseload you've done?
I did 21 taking financial management, business strategy, compensation management, training and development, and couple other management electives while working 50 hours a week. Was a breeze but I find business topics very easy to understand, even financial management where 2/3rds of the class were retaking it. Group projects do take up time, but are very workable over a semester. I found taking 12 hours in my freshmen year taking Bio, Chem 2, a work reading intensive history course, and Anatomy.
I say don't go to classes if your not required too, use that time to study independently. If you are required to go to classes, read/study independently and zone out the lecture. It will allow you to get ahead as much as you can.
