Option 1: somewhere in the burbs, 20-50 minute commute depending on traffic, weather, time of day etc..
I would probably save 200-300 more per month by choosing this option. Downside it is in the burbs so not much going on

Option 2 pay a bit more 200-300 a month and have less left over but still have some discretionary income. Cons are cost but work would be 10ish min drive and I could always just leave my car at work and walk/uber home if I had a few drinks after work(not stressing this is big for me). Also close to sports and restaurants, don't plan on popping bottles but the proximity is great

Any input or peoples experiences would be great

Obviously time value of money isn't this easy but an extra 20 minutes on commute is 200 minutes a week, or 800 minutes a month which is like 15 hours. That's 20 bucks an hour if you pay 300 extra.

Not to mention commute to other things other than work.
