i sit next to A in every one of my classes and i've had no issues blowing her off

it's fun and easy. just "hey whats up" and that's it. end the conversation at the earliest possible point. randomly get silent and awkward. it's enjoyable. make a game out of it

Ok little update here...

I talked to blind date girl via text.

She 1st asks if her sister gave me her number. obv yes
2nd, I ask if she knows about the blind date thing, trying to initiate conversation. She says yeah but her sister was gonna set it up.

at this point im like wtf. So i texted her sister about it and she said yeah she would help with it. Im like no dont worry about it.

So I ask her sister, well lets go out and get some dinner. This is where im like wtf is this ****.

She answers: uh sure.

So now im like wtf, did her sister even ask her and make sure she was down for the blind date.

I ask what the "uh" was about in a funny light way, she says to add another word.

Then I say well when are you available, or something along those lines.

5 min later she answers, Sorry I am at "poetry out loud" and I will see what I have to do, and get back to u.


Now im like ok lol, she def doesnt seem down for anything. So I text her sister, and she is like she was down for going out for sure, but ill talk to her about it.

I totally get the vibe she doesnt wanna go, so Ill just wait for her sister and see what she says.

See, I guess here's another point where my situation makes it harder to disassociate...friend just texts saying "let's pregame at my place at 10 and then head to the bar." Sounds fun to me. She hangs with that same group and might be there, but I'm sure as **** not going to let her hinder my night life just so I can deliberately avoid her. It's a small enough crowd that snubbing her when she tries talking to me will seem like a dick move. I mean, I can be short with her on some level and try to keep conversations going exclusively with others as much as possible, but that only goes so far. If the entire group is in one conversation I'm not going to take awkward steps to avoid acknowledging her.

In any case, since I feel like going out I'm going to go out. I actually think that she's somewhat unlikely to go out on a Thursday night anyway, but who knows. I'm just saying that things like this will further hinder operation: detach.

LKJ you going out with her in a group could easily turn into a drunken hookup.... just saying

Just stay the **** away from her. If she tries to come over and talk, engage someone else in conversation or give her the cold shoulder.

I'm not saying to treat her like she just ran over her dog, (you don't want her thinking you are being an emo bitch), but treat her like she is an annoying girl you don't feel like talking to, but are amiable to anyways.

booom karak said it best. just don't look like one of those butt hurt guys that get turned down for whatever reason and take it out on the girl. she seems nice even if she's a tease. also advice could change depending on her 1-10 rating imo. it's natural for guys to put up with more the hotter the girl is and i am no different.

Well it's not like she even knows she turned me down last night anyway (she commented on my FB status earlier with a playful jab, it's all status quo as far as she can tell I'm sure), so it wouldn't make sense if my changed behavior was too extreme.

In fact, she just posted on my wall too. WTF WOMAN, LEAVE ME BE. Alright, well I'm definitely going to go join the drinking crew now, that wall post means she's at home, which means I can just go drink and not worry about her.

Yup that's pretty much the plan. I wasn't entirely sure if the rules changed (for the better if anything I would think) because we knew each other years ago or if its still the same old story. But yea, doesn't matter much till I'm there and then I'm evaluating the situation anyway.

I'm surprised you all want to completely shut down LKJ's girl. She just seems to want to be good friends with him. Just because she may not be interested in a relationship with him doesn't mean he should cut her out of his life?
