I don't really care about numbers, it's more how easy a girl is. I never want to be in a situation where I'm at an event with a date and it come out she's had sex with some dude serving drinks or something. If she's dated and slept with a number of men who I consider my peers, then so be it.

I'm doing fine just sleeping with girls who I'd never marry because I'm young and feel no pressure to marry. In fact, I'm really enjoying myself, so it would take a lot to get me to commit to someone. If I start wanting to get something serious going, I might relax my standards.

To be honest, I've never had trouble meeting very attractive girls who fit into the "not easy" category when I wanted.

So it doesn't really matter how many guys she's slept with, just that those she has slept with are equal in "status" to you? That seems a little weird tbh.

I would think that if you wanted something serious you'd have more stringent standards, no? I'd be way more picky about people I wanted to be in a relationship with than just bang or whatever.

Nah, it's not entirely a status thing (though that's part of it). It's just a big part of being exclusive to me is that person represents you, I wouldn't want my significant other to have done anything that would reflect poorly on me. It's partly projection on my part. I know how much of a joke a lot of the randoms I've banged are to me, I'd hate for others to feel the same way about someone I cared about.

I meant I would relax my standards for committed relationships if I ever have to out of desperation. I have a completely different set of standards for girls I sleep with / date casually.

It is contradictory. Right now given that I have a lot of steady hook ups and other options I am very happy being single, so in order to commit to somebody she'd have to hit everything I want in a woman. If I get older and can't/don't want to live the lifestyle I live now, I may have to compromise. To be honest, I just included the bit about relaxing my standards later to appease the "Lol @ finding girls who don't get plowed by randoms" nits.

EDIT: Oh I see the confusion. I mean if I ever had trouble finding girls I wanted to date that I would relax my standards. Assuming everything continues to go well, I will not relax my standards.

Wat? So you can't have a rough break up if it was less than a year? I disagree. If you really like the person, if it comes out of nowhere, etc. I could imagine scenarios where a 3 year break up is easier than a 6 month break up, if after 3 years it gets stale, then it's easier to let go. 6 months is still a long time to get to know the person pretty well and be pretty involved in each other's lives, but the passion is still present as well. Eh. If it gets much worse than the break up I had, then I'm quitting girls next time.

i took the over on 10 years. we're currently negotiating action on the marriage going off. i wanna take the marriage happening and the other guy wants odds obv and we're trying to find a #. he's convinced they're gunna epic fail and i vehemently disagree.
