doesn't matter. just means she's not desperate to date anyone right now. it's june girls don't start looking for boyfriends until late august or there's the other crowd that waits until after halloween.

It means she isn't interested in you. Unless she is still hooking up with you, which means she's just using you for the sex. If you are cool with that, then nbd.

But it's usually the first one.

Sorry in advance if this type of question doesn't belong ITT, I'm basically asking if I should go to prom this thursday with the ex GF. Here's the story...Cliffs in bold for you TL;DRers.

I started going out with cute, blonde girl A in May 09. We're both going to diff school's next year so it was a mutual decision that we would not be staying together for college. I wanted to wait til August but she was much more insisting we just break up earlier (last May), so we did. (Introduce assumed D-bag guy A-they hang out while we're still technically together and go to parties with mutual friends). We did this under the condition we were single but would still hang out a decent amount and still hook up. It goes okay for a little while but after a couple weeks she makes more and more excuses that she's busy working ect. Before we broke up we both invited each other to our respective proms (we go to different schools and we went to my already last May).

I found out that after she had invited me to her prom, Guy A had asked her to go with him. She had to say no given she was already going with me but I have a feeling she kinda wanted to go with him more if not completely. I ask her about it and she insists that I go with her still. Eventually, I figure out that Girl A is now hooking up with Guy A. FML, right? It kind of sucks because even though we're broken up and I've been seeing other girls as well, I still like her a lot (not the just friend type ldo).

So last week, we hang out after the first time in a couple weeks and it felt pretty weird. We just went to this coffee shop and looked at her yearbook. We never hooked up but I did have my arm around her for a little while. I leave after a couple hours quite confused with the whole situation.

Last tuesday, she facebook im's me out of nowhere and we make plans to go to the beach on last thursday. I say 'awesome, I'm also having a party that night if you wanted to come too.' She agrees. Thursday comes and she ends up not answering her phone until 2:30 while I wait around for her? She ends up texting me that she's not going to the beach and that it was just an 'idea', not actual plans. (WTF!)

During this text convo, I've had enough and try to find out the deal. I ask if we're just going to be hanging out as friends now and not hooking up. She replies; 'Uh, I guess not?". Pretty big beat imo as I still really like her. I then get kinda defensive(usage?) about this and tell her I think it'd be best for her to not come to the party that night then. She then gets pretty defensive and accuses me of just wanting to hang with her because we hook up. I deny this for sure and flat out tell her I like her a lot still and that just hanging out as friends would bother me so much. She asks if this means I won't be going to prom with her and I say yes I will still be at prom. That would be a pretty big beat for her because all the other guys obv have dates now.

The actual prom is pretty lame. The after party stuff is what's really cool obviously. The original plans fell through now some random kid I don't know is having a small group of people over at his house. Apparently, I am not invited to the after-thing. (More WTF!). My thinking is that Guy A will be there.

So, going to this prom this thursday is going to be pretty ****ty for me, amirite? I get to be there wishing I was the one hanging with her after etc and Guy A will actually be there.

Options.

A. Suck it up and go to it.
B. Don't go to the prom (tell her really short notice)
i. Reason: I don't want to feel ****ty.
ii. Reason: I'm going to florida (I'm in NY) with the rest of my family.
C. Go to the prom, pregame, potentially fight Guy A, and leave early.

Keep in mind she has her dress bought obv and all HS girls love their prom ldo. TY SL.

go to the prom and leave early sounds like the best overall plan. make sure it's you leaving her and not her leaving you for the after party. i think lying to look cool is really lame but this might be a scenario where u say well i'm gonna head out i have a party or person to meet up with even if you don't.

after that i'd say not going to the prom is best. this is only if you want to be the good guy and make sure she has a date.

not being invited to the after party is pretty bull****. i could easily see myself not going just on that alone

Entire decision is based on guy a, imo. without any other guy involved but her still feeling like she doesnt like you in the same way i would go and suck it up and just enjoy the night best you could. with guy a there, i lean towards not going with going and leaving a for a fake party a close second...leaving for a real party or crashing the after party would be much better tho.

i agree that not being invited to afterparty is bs...you presumably do the right thing by sticking out this arrangement even tho she is banging guy a, the least she could do is get you invited to that party...something to consider.

i didn't say get rid of the girl because that's sometimes impossible when you like someone. i remember posting in the ssnl life thread asking for advice about my ex gf and i ignored every single poster thinking "my situation is different"

OT: i've been waking up like 5pm lately and today i was finally asleep at 12am on track to wakeup at a normal time. then my sister comes home making hella noise and now i'm up. contemplating getting some del taco and playing call of duty until i'm tired again.

slept through my driving appointment today too. i really need to get my license to increase my power ranking ITT w/trip reports of hookingup with random girls.
