not gonna lie but imitating retarded girls on dating sites is ****ing lame. yeah, it's ok to make fun of these people when you're on a date and you're trying to ease the tension and have something to talk about, but when you're whole profile is written out that way you just come off like a major douche. and a really critical one at that. lighten up, and write about yourself AS you, because right now you're just a huge gimmick and i wouldn't ever message you on okcupid based on that profile. just sayin'.

I thought we concluded that fanapathy was either a troll or just delusional but either way not a serious post.

Re: "Ask Out A Girl" Thread: Home of A+ GG TRs
someone start a thread "internet dating sites" and then everyone who cares bout that rubbish can post in there. As mittens has stated he would use it to add more girls to his social mix, but it is the worst place to start for the rookie dater.
So to real life dating: slept with an asian girl a few days back who I met randomly through a friend, but wont be seeing her again (only a 6.5 or so). Met quite a hot spanish chick yesterday. We chatted and she asked me a lot of questions. She said that shes only just got to canada and dosent have a phone so I had to add her on facebook (fml). Massive red flag was that she already had a job lined up working for a YMCA camp. Shes likely to be fairly religious, presumably catholic so I dont know whether I want to go there. Anyone have any experience with dating spanish chicks (who speak english obv).
She didn't understand sarcarism either, as is the case with other european girls I have met. They dont seem to be able to know when we are joking. On the contrary asian girls I have met speaking english as their 2nd language have no problems picking this up.

I highly doubt Mittens needs any help adding girls to his social mix -- you can drop him in almost any random city where he knows no one and if he wanted to he'd have more girls to date than he could possibly ever hope to schedule. My guess he is being polite or if he has never used online dating greatly overestimating the quality of what you get.

Colin,
I'm not sure what Mittens thoughts on online dating are but I'd argue it's actually a good spot for a rookie dater to start. No the girls won't be very quality around student age especially on free websites but it can net you some experience dating which you can then use to interact with girls in normal situations and develop real relationships. Your chances of finding an attractive student age girl on a free dating site is almost nil but there are plenty of random girls to get dating and physical experience with.

Re: "Ask Out A Girl" Thread: Home of A+ GG TRs
I used OKCupid for the first time two months ago, after a a LTR breakup, as a way to complement and maximize my dating ability (I work a lot).
Maybe it is special because I live in a non-english speaking country, and that as such most people on OKC are actually expats/new in town (which involves a higher average income and a higher education), but I was actualy quite surprised at the quality of the girls there.
Had 3 dates from there, only one girl was less good looking than her profile pics, she was still pretty cool. The two other girls are good looking/smart girls, both speak 4 languages fluently, have good jobs and seem (thus far) normal/balanced. The three are expats just like me.
Banged 3 other girls from going out to bars/clubs, but as far as dating goes I think the ones I met on OKC have much more potential (I like how easy it is to filter out dumb ones that read twilight and the like, even though they have good looks)

Search age > 15 should do it -- unless you live in a country with very liberal drinking laws so would going to a bar.

lol, not really.
Dating sites are generally 18+, but you still will get those immature girls around that age that like stupid **** like Twilight.

Re online dating. I think it's rubbish for the reasons stated many times itt (lurker here, love you guys). However, for someone who works a lot it is a way to maximize potential. I never tried it but I'm curious. Share Disco's concern's though. Would it work putting up minimal information coupled with good pictures? (I go to the gym a lot so I'm in very good shape)

Why "massive red flag"?
I've dated a Spanish girl once. What you want to know? Do you really believe that information is going to be useful?

Its a red flag because im not catholic.I know a lot of people that say they are catholic a lot of people end up rebelling from it. However The fact she has come over and got a job in a christian organisation means that she is likely pretty religious and wont be up for sex before marriage etc. Im sure there many spanish girls that have different views but that is unlikely to be the case here.

I would be much more concerned about my picture than info. Nobody is really going to figure out who you are from the info but if they are just randomly browsing they will recognize a picture.
