Foxwoods & Id's Foxwoods & Id's

02-24-2009 , 03:30 PM
Im 19 and me and a buddy want to take a trip up to foxwoods this week. I have a legit ID thats my friends who i look similar to. The only problems are its a motorcycle license which is already expired and the height is about 3-4' off. Ive been asking around and people have been saying i shouldnt be to worried, but im still hesitant. How strict is foxwoods and whats the chances of this working

It all depends on how young you look. I was going at the age of 19, and I looked around 17, but I had an amazing ID so I did not have a problem. But I did get IDed all the time even while in the casino. So if you look old enough you should not worry that much.

life nit alert:

its serious biz if u get caught with with a fake id. just keep that in mind.

It's not a fake, its real, just not mine.

And the worst ive heard happening was them telling you to leave...no trouble.
All im asking is whats the chance that if i get ID'd they wont make a big deal about it and just accept it.

my buddy got caught with a id he was to write a letter to tribal commision when he turned 21 for a reinstatment to enter.....they told him if you dont think we know your in here until your 21 you are wrong....this was a few years back

I would think alot would have to do with the way you present the ID to them. If you are nervous and acting weird they make be more suspicious and inspect it better. If you are calm and act like you belong they probably wont inspect it as closely.

been getting into foxwoods since i was 18.. only had a problem twice,, but then i walked in from another entrance..

It doesn't seem to me that indian owned casino's care at all about age. Ive never seen anyone carded at Turning Stone which is 18+, and I was playing and drinking at Seminole Hardrock in Tampa and wasn't asked for ID either.

meh i dunno at hollywood hardrock ive been IDed every single time, and I'm 18 and look at least 18, probably 19-20... Theyre quite stupid too, usually takes over a minute to understand that born 1990 makes me 18 as it is not 2007 anymore

VegasBound, do you look 18? or older? And when you say you had a problem twice do u mean they just look at ur ID and tell u to leave?
02-25-2009 , 01:25 AM
I was carded once when I was 20, in prob 12-16 times that I went before I was 21. I have been back dozens of times since turning 21 and have not been carded since.

lol because these are 18 plus casinos.... the 21 casinos are stricter in carding... but foxwoods shouldn't be a problem

my 2 buddies and i always used to go. we'd just walk past security and they wouldnt id us.. one weekend however they started iding on the floor and we got ****ed. my friend gave them a fake maine id and they tried and scan it. i just said i left mine in the car and had to go get it. my buddys didnt scan so he got taken out back, arrested, banned from fw until he writes a letter asking for reinstatement. the prosecutor was nice to my friend tho and ended up only being $100 fine, but couldve been a worse.

If you just tell them you left it in the car they can't really do anything else than just kick you out right?

Tampa is 21+ eveything besides poker. Drinking is 21 + everywhere

meh, maybe i ran bad, but i got carded more in 1 day at foxwoods than 2 weeks of vegas. using a friends ID it was no problem, but i doubt they'd accept an expired one, and from my [only] experience, Id be surprised if you didnt get carded

I wouldnt worry about it I used to goto the Horse Shoe Casino here in town all the time under 21 from 19 to about a month until I turned 21. Just act confident, if you act like you are supposed to be there then you are supposed to be there and memorize the info.

A word of advice if you're playing poker underage: stay away from table games. They ID you hardcore.

Also, if you have a decent fake and act confident, you should be fine.

Thanks guys. Well im heading there tonight so i'll post tomorrow and let you know how it went. Dont expect any problems.

my brother turned 21 last night and we went to foxwoods. didn't get carded.
03-01-2009 , 10:02 PM
So me a buddy and his step dad went tonight. Step dad went in, opened the side door for us and we walked right in. Got a seat at a 1/2 game, 6 hands i get a tap on the shoulder asking for ID. I hand him my friends expired ID, he goes in the back room looks at it, i would assume scans it, comes back, hands me the ID and says thank you. All went well. Then my buddy, who was oddly enough seated at the same table as me, gets carded as well. He has a fake NY ID, which wasent fooling anyone. Then came back, asked him to come with them and interviewed him for about 20 mins. They finnaly go cash out his chips and gets escorted the the exits to be greeted by state officers. Long story short, he gets arrested for placing a bet at a table and some identity charge, has to go to court friday, and was told never to come back to foxwoods until he attempts to re-instate.

The good knows: After less than an hour playing i made $70 and his step dad took $200.

Not really worth it. I'll be back thursday though.
