Welcome to the Student Life forum. Feel free to post about pretty much anything here that is relevant to student, college, grad school life. This forum concentrates, really, on issues that affect and are relevant to the undergraduate and post-graduate crowd, generally 18-27-years-old. There is discussion of everything ranging from selecting a college to legal job opportunities for law school graduates. Even if you are not in this age range or are not currently a student, you are invited to participate and join in the discussions.

Sample discussion topics:

-Girls
-Grades
-Professors
-Post-grad employment (issues with resumes, interviews, etc.)
-Grad school
-How do I tell my parents I play poker?
-What do I do about this roommate situation?

These are just suggestions, not limitations. Please use the search feature to make sure there isn't already a thread on your topic.

General guidelines for creating threads:

-Please try to keep threads useful and relevant
-Ask yourself: does this belong in the LC thread?

I may take liberties in merging or moving threads at times. If you find your thread has disappeared or been merged and would like to talk about it, please PM me. If you have an issue with any moderation on this forum, PM me. I'm really lenient with bans and infractions, so don't be afraid to make a new thread. I don't want people to feel like they risk an infraction or a ban if they make a bad thread. Worst that happens is I just merge it into the LC thread. Obviously if it becomes a recurring issue, I'll PM you about it.

I encourage the discussion of overall "forum strategy" and general moderation publicly, but if you would like to discuss a specific, private moderation matter (ex: why did you delete my post?), then PM me. I'll be more than happy to discuss it, so please don't hesitate. You are allowed to disagree with me. However, public discussion/flaming of a specific, private moderation issue will not be tolerated and will result in a warning, infraction or ban.

If a post or thread needs immediate attention, PLEASE use the notify moderator feature. Sending a PM as well will ensure we get to it as soon as possible.

IMPORTANT NOTE:

PLEASE USE SPOILER TAGS AND TYPE NSFW FOR ANY NSFW PICTURES. THIS INCLUDES, BUT IS NOT LIMITED TO:

-SCANTILY CLAD WOMEN
-PROFANE OR DISGUSTING PICTURES
-OFFENSIVE PICTURES
-QUESTIONABLE CONTENT (think pictures of cocaine or something)
-ANYTHING YOU WOULD BE EMBARRASSED TO HAVE YOUR BOSS/PROFESSOR/CLASSMATES/MOTHER SEE

Obviously this is NOT needed on threads which are either labeled NSFW right off the bat or are impliedly NSFW (ie facebook girls thread).

A lot of us read this forum in class, so this is important!!!
