Also are you saying if you bagged 1M chips then played again and bagged 500k

You start day 1 ($5000) buyin tourney with 1.5 M chips!??
No, you'd have a 1m chip stack and if you busted could get back in without paying another dollar and get a 500k stack.

Or play multiple day 1s I would assume

1. with a 1m chip stack
2. with a 500k stack

and carry your best bagged chips forward to day 2

Ahhh thanks.

I see there's no sattys for April for the $550 but apparently 3 in a row for may. Either way this looks awesome, hope I can get up to Canada!

Hey sorry Im new to the satty scene but this looks awesome, I'm gonna get a party account!
$550 is the online qualifier to Day 1a of the event at playground?
How many win seats, how many players?

Hey Christian - we had the same feeling once we published the schedule, and in a rare move we have changed the side event schedule. It will be published on the site later today but I can tell you that there's now a 2-Day $2,300 + $200 NL Hold'em Second Chance that starts at 11am on Monday May 8th. As with any Playground event with a buy-in of over $500, there are 6 levels of late reg).

As usual we'll have structure PDFs for all events up asap (but probably in a week or 2 at the outside).

The full structure sheets for both the partypoker Million North America and the Grand Prix Canada (which itself has a $500K GTD) are already published and almost every question asked here is answered either in there or on the FAQ we published.

Visit here to get all this great info: https://www.playgroundpoker.ca/millionnorthamerica

And from there you can easily navigate to info about Spring Classic side events and the Grand Prix Canada event as well.

One thing - if you're able to play on non-NJ partypoker (i.e., you play outside of the US), there are Online Phase 1s 3 times a week and the first 100 players to survive a Phase 1 online will get their US$410/C$550 buy-in back. At last check there were 72 bonuses (out of the 100 to start) that are still left to be claimed.

We're also publishing full Phase 1 results from both live and online Phase 1s there - so far, there are 49 stacks qualified for Day 1.

With respect to the question about re-entry - there are 2 Online Day 1s and 2 Live Day 1s, and each one allows an entry and a re-entry. You can enter or re-enter just by buying in and getting your million-chip starting stack - or you can use accumulated Phase 1 stacks to get in. For Live Day 1s, you can use Phase 1 stacks you booked online or live, for Online Day 1s, only Online Phase 1s count.

So this post is approaching novel-length but the concept is actually pretty simple once you get your head around it.

Hey D that's correct - it becomes a fairly "normal" best-stack-forward event on Day 2, and you can use a combination of Phase 1 stacks and $5.3K buy-ins to get there.

One guy has already accumulated 2 Phase 1 results of just over a million chips, so he has one buy-in each for 2 of the 4 total day 1s. Or he could enter, bust, and re-enter a Day 1 using those two stacks and then maybe come and buy-in to a Live Day 1 for $5.3K if he needed to. Because two of his stacks effectively cost him $0, its both +EV and economical to think of doing it that way. Or maybe he plays one of those stacks in an online Day 1 and books a Day 2 stack that way and then chooses to use his second stack to enter a Live Day 1 on the hope that it might be softer - if he books a Day 2 stack twice, only his best will move forward.

lets say theres 15 entries in a Phase 1 with 1.5 mil in play. theres a decent chance that the phase finishes with one player remaining as well as 2 players remaining... so there will still be some stacks with 500k or 1.5 mil going into Day 1. is this true?

How long will the Phase 1 tourneys be running on party poker? The latest i see on the site is Feb 23.
Online Phase 1s are running three times weekly on Tues, Thurs, and Sun all the way through April.

If you can get here to Playground, there are Live Phase 1s twice a week at $275 (50K starting stack, play to 5% remaining rounded up) and at the end of each month there's a Live $550 Phase 1 (100K starting stack play to 10% remaining rounded up).

Just like with the tradition of a Second Chance Event, what about putting in a Seniors Event like the last four Playground festivals and every PokerStars Championship? A $220 or $330 Seniors can be scheduled on the night of the Day 2 Million on May 8 ~6 pm, just like there was a Seniors on Day 2 of the WPT Playground ME at 6 pm.

Seniors Events have always gotten at least 115 players at Playground, even during the snowstorm on February 12. The Second Chance satellite at 8 pm worked fine with the Seniors Event a couple of hours earlier that night.

Sorry Nash, but with the relatively compressed schedule (just 9 side events rather than 15-16) and the busy Million North America schedule we decided that a Seniors' Tournament didn't make the cut this time around.

But we love this event in general, so it will be back!

The $530 buy in held on partypoker today (Sunday, March 12) has 10 packages guaranteed with a potential of a big overlay. Will party poker run more of these?

There's a new wacky promotion for the partypoker Million North America here: https://www.playgroundpoker.ca/partypokermillionaire

Just upload a photo, decorate it to your taste and share it - and you could win a Phase 1 ticket or even one of the grand prizes, a Day 1 ticket worth $5,300!

Also - if you can play on partypoker global - 10 seats GTD in the Satellite on Sunday - there was a pretty big overlay last Sunday, so there's a ton of value there.

Plus - there are online Phase 1s running on the same schedule as usual - Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Sundays.

Sorry about that!

No - if it's called a Satellite, then it's a traditional satellite - you play your game, survive to the end and you win a nice fresh seat for the event with the default starting stack you would buy in with.

We don't usually publish satellite structures but they're "normal" - we've never used extra fast crazy structures or anything like that. 25K starting stacks (with dealer add-on - no 3% withholding on satellites) and 20 minute blinds pretty much identical to any nightly tourney.

The Grand Prix (only) is being paid out via partypoker account.

That being said, if you're going to stick around for a bit, once the payout is made to your account, you can request a withdrawal in cash at the Playground cashier and you can get your money that way (once the withdrawal is approved by party). A bit of a hoop to jump through but should work well. There are no fees to withdraw via the Playground cashier.

You're asking about the Live Phase 1 on Sunday? Hard to say for sure, because as you can imagine the bubble-ish dynamics when the field starts to inch towards the 10% mark (who will take their stacks to Day 1) can make it take a while to get finished...

In any case, it could easily end as early as 9pm but just as easily continue to 10:30 or so.

Great thanks.

Also this Saturday I saw you had a $100 mega overlay. 25 seats. Same thing w time would you imagine or shorter?

The Mega Overlay doesn't take as long because a) the stakes aren't as high and b) finishing 25 BEFORE the normal bubble, the tourey seems to get there reasonably quickly - it's before people are naturally thinking about such things as they would in a normal tournament.

I would predict a relatively easy day in the Overlay. Maybe finish by 7? Or even earlier perhaps? Hard to say for sure.

Please run a HR tourney. 10k buyin with reentry and 1m grtd would be perfect. Not only would the current player pool provide a good turnout, it would make it way more applealing for people travelling from overseas to join also.

I don't know if this is appropriate thread to post. Concerning the main. Wondering if peoplr would want to do a 500$ last longer for the main seeing is this will be an epic event . 100 people x 500$ is 50k. Cept how could this be organized seeing as its a large sum. Would the property assist us in this?
