Actually, dealers are not entitled to make a living, above and beyond any minimum wage laws that may exist in the state they work in. Employment is not an entitlement in this country.
And the juice on this tournament is not 4%. The rake is 40/400, or 10%. The 4% is an additional fee that is taken out of the prizepool for tournament staff, and in my experience, this typically DOES NOT include the dealers. Also, this fee has historically been 3%. I don't really have a problem with the increase and recognize its just another example of the trend in live poker becoming more and more expensive to play. It was just a little sneaky the way they included this increased staff fee.
