I just called the poker room and they ARE NOT letting anyone BI in person until after this xmas series is over. This is such a shady move, you should be seriously ashamed of scamming everyone for that extra $15.

Casino does not get the $15 . It is a service to the players, not mandatory . WE have 3 day 1s.

Re: WSOPCE Palm Beach $500 Buy-In, Million Dollar Guarantee
jimmy,
First I want to say i love the online registration as many tournaments do not offer this feature. However I do think that local players should be able to register in person if its available online. I am from out of town so ill register online.
My question is im sure you will open the other day 1's for Event #1 but will there be online registration for other ring events or will it be just this event due to the GTD?
thxs

Really interesting thread involving someone having a big issue with the way Jimmy Sommerfeld does business... he's not the first person I've heard this from either.

I'm not against online registration but I am against opening just a mere 50 seats like 3 months before the actual tournament.

This is so laughable. Stop trying to protect your a$$ and do the right thing. You sure are helping out the 2+2ers by giving us the heads up but what about all the other out of towners who like to play Re-entry tournaments with the most equity possible and that is to play all day1 flights??? Do you have any idea how much you're hurting their equity?? It is painfully obvious that PBKC will CRUSH the guarantee (you've already filled ~700 seats TWO months before the tournament) yet you've admitted you will continue to open registration for 1b once 1a is filled. How can you possibly defend this?? Do you not see the reaction you're getting..just wait until you hear from the people who you AREN'T benefitting (non 2+2ers getting royally Fed). And to not open registration IN PERSON when you're already taking online entrants for an extra fee is just appalling. How much is pokertickets.com paying you for running this registration in this manner?? And if you're not on their roll you must just get off by screwing all of us players..

of course and its not that tough of a solution. you take the promotional winners and satty qualifiers and spread them out throughout the day1s. You say winners of this satty will win entry to day1b, those who qualify here will win entry to 1c etc etc. That way you don't force all of us to reg online and day1a entry isn't even close to being sold out 2 months prior to the tournament.
doesnt take a rocket scientist to figure this stuff out, it takes a realllyyyy shady business dealing to ignore all of it tho

If you ask , Weebs is a dealer we terminated. Do you really think gaming or casinos would turn head on theft?
Its accusations like this that keep TDS from posting.
But I do not mind, I have been Directing tournaments for 15 years, and I hope my reputation is enough to defend against a falsely accusing dealer.

Re: WSOPCE Palm Beach $500 Buy-In, Million Dollar Guarantee
I talked to management and we are distributing some of the Promotional seats to other days. Therefore it will open up more seats. To the player that asked about live registration. We have not opened up live registration yet, the reason is the one that you stated. We want to be fair to both locals and out of town players , by giving them both the opportunity to register by the same means. I have heard so many disgruntled players by the online registration, that I am considering suggesting to stop using the service that I thought would be a benefit to the traveling players. I understand that PokerTickets charges a fee, but I thought that the convenience and the ability to use credit cards to purchase seats, would be beneficial. It is alot cheaper than getting a cash advance.
As I stated, we are moving some of the Promo and sat winners to other days, but I still believe we are going to sell out. So, if you want to play on DAy 1a I would still pre-register, but you make the choice.

I will definitely put as many alternates in as possible. Being that 150 players have qualified at that point, I would think that we will have seats for day 3. But this is just my educated guess.

How many seats were moved from day 1A to other days? Do you believe that the only way to be able to play on day 1A is to preregister online?

There is absolutely no reason a player shouldn't be allowed to pick their starting day. Are you going to refuse customers that can't get Thur or Fri off work and can only play Sat? Seems really bright
