I have to admit, I definitely had ZERO idea the leaderboard would go so nutz this year. But I think it's a fantastic thing for poker. Finally a unified tour for the grinders out there. Hopefully Caesars doesn't screw this up, because they have a really good thing here.

GL in the last couple events to those fighting to get in.

are we still getting put up at the Rio (or Caesars?) for 3 nights? I'm assuming check in the 6th and out the 9th?

AFAIK they didn't get any hotel accommodations last year. I'm 99% sure we don't get anything this year as far as hotels go.

Re: WSOPc $1m Freeroll Equity Calc

We did not last year, but this year we are supposed to receive them. I would assume all participants will receive an e-mail like last year with details. I should start looking for people who want a free room those days.

Yeah I vaguely remember $500 cash and 3 nights at Caesars mentioned in one of the press releases (when they were still planning to have it at Caesars instead of Rio). I'm booking hotels and leaving those 3 days out I guess.

No way each qualifier gets $500 in cash. Rooms at the rio sold out during wsop. Last year it was at an off time at Caesars.

Re: WSOPc $1m Freeroll Equity Calc

http://espn.go.com/poker/story/_/id/...-16-tour-stops

The four Regional Championships have been removed from this year's schedule, but the televised National Championship will stay in place. The winners of the 16 $1,600 main events and 16 casino champions (those who earn the most points during a single Circuit stop) will earn automatic invites. They will be joined by the top 68 on the WSOP Circuit leaderboard (which ranks players based on finishes in sanctioned Circuit events). All those who qualify in that manner will receive the $10,000 buy-in, three nights hotel accommodations and a $500 travel stipend. There will be at least $1 million in the prize pool and a WSOP bracelet will be awarded to the champion.

If they take out these things that were promised at the start of the year, it would just be absurd

Agreed. Especially since I really need that $500 since I am dead money in the actual tournament.

Obviously I want us to get the cash and hotel, but I can't find anywhere on WSOP's website mentioning it. The only spot it says that is on the ESPN press release. Can anyone find this stated by WSOP?

BTW the 3 nights hotel and $500 travel stipend (likely in RC) was confirmed by WSOP on Twitter.
