If anyone cares, I asked WSOP via twitter about whether or not the tag team event was happening this year. This was their response: "Yes, dates still TBD, but toying with two events, one low buy-in, one high. No breaks!"

Didn't know if I should start a new thread for 2017 tag team event (they added a 10k version also), but since I didn't play last year I'm more curious about how the 2016 event actually went down:

-In the structure it says, "teammates must play at least one round of blinds at some point in tournament or team will be disqualified." So do you really only have to play 2 hands (sb/bb) or does this infer a full orbit?

-Whether 2 hands or a full orbit required, is there some system to prove that you have done so? With constantly changing dealers, opponent busts, and table changes, how do they prove that each person has played as required?

-Are there any restrictions on tagging out (aside from the obvious in the structure sheet which is not with live cards)? I mean can you constantly change every hand if you want, etc?

-What about the issue that kept getting brought up in this thread, but which I never saw an answer to: what about the logistics? Obviously you're going to want to watch your teammate(s), at least part of the time. But having 9-27 people milling around each table watching is impossible....

-Not really a question, but I see there is still the standard 20 min break every 2 hours on the 1k structure sheet, yet the 10k structure sheet specifically says "no breaks." Seems odd given that the structures are identical except for 10x the starting stack and starting at higher blinds for level 1 in the 10k.
