wsop senior payout screw up?

cliffs: they were supposed to pay 809, yet only show 807 actually paid. what happened?
I played the 1k senior event at the rio and there were to be 809 people paid. There was quite the delay at the bubble while playing hand for hand. Eventually a guy on the mike says "Congratulations, on making this the largest one day field" or something like that, which pissed me off because on the bubble the only words following "congrats" should be "you're in the money."
Anyway, my wife was on the rail and told me after we bagged that she was convinced a couple people left without getting paid. I thought she was nuts, but pretty sure she was correct.

I was railing during the bubble and I remember thinking it was dumb of them to wait until exactly 810 remaining to start hand for hand. Like how are they going to make sure 3 people don't bust on the same hand and walk away? Seems like that's what happened here.

I thought they usually didn't do that because then they have to figure out stacks when the hand started.
