They had a six-handed 8-game mix go off at the table behind where I was playing last Thursday, the night before that bracelet event. They were promoting it pretty hard over the microphone, too. Took a little while to get six players but they got there. They don't run them often, though, so there was some confusion about structure, number of hands played per game, etc.

I was able to convince a WSOP supervisor to start up an interest list for any TWO-winner satellite. With over 4,000 seniors playing on Friday, we should be able to get >= 10 players, so please sign up to the two-winner interest list.

If this runs by Thursday night, I'll be willing to buy $2,000 worth of lammers from the winner at face value.

Any chance of omaha8 satellites going off tomorrow before the $1500 event at 3?

Sure, just ask for one.

Nash, good luck with the 2-winner, let us know if any go off.

A new rule that started on the morning of June 15 is that cash cannot remain on the table. :O Those organizing Last Longer bets can try to put the cash inside an envelope or tablet cover as cash is not allowed to be seen anywhere on the table.

How do you sign up for the STT's this year? Is it the same as last year's fiasco?

Same as last year. Buy a ticket for your desired game and go to the open table with that buyin. Once 10 players show up with tickets they start.

If you want to do something they aren't offering such as a higher buyin or non-NLH game, talk to a supervisor and see if there is a list.

You can get refunds on unused tickets.

There was so much demand when I was there that they made people line up by buy-in size. Otherwise 30 people with tickets would stampede to the next open STT. They filled up the entire section they had last year and took about 10 tables in the section next door.

Yeah, I saw them do this the weekend of the Millionaire Maker. Facing the cage, going L-R the lines were for $125, $175, $275, and $525. It's a little confusing because those lines partially block the entrance to the line for the cage to register for the sattys and deepstacks. The important thing to note if you haven't been down yet this year and didn't play last year is that you have to buy in first and have a ticket before you get in these lines. I saw one dude go nuts and berate the floor after he had waited in line and went to the table but didn't have a ticket.

Can someone explain why the $525 Sngs marketed as 20 min blind levels on the structure sheet are all 15 mins? A floor told me its up to whoever sits first at table, which is rediculous but when I got to the table first it was already marked 15 mins anyway. Also when did they remove the 75/150 level? One of my tables went into negotiations about removing 25/25 for 75/150. A few years ago there was a 75/150 level.

That sounds ridiculous. It should be according to the printed structure sheet.

These SNGs are definitely good value, but after playing a few I have serious concerns about collusion/soft play/hand texting/villains working together/etc

If you and 2-3 friends simply line up and join the same SNG table, it's incredibly easy to work together.

I'm not even sure how to prevent this. Nonetheless, the games are soft enough where a winning online player can still be +EV. I just want to warn others about how easy it is for a team of guys to work these.

One weird example was at 100/200:

Button open limps with a 700 chip stack. He had never done an open limp before and didn't seem like the type. The bb had about 2800. I had 2200 in the SB and jammed ATo. Button folded pre because bb woke up with a hand. I'm pretty sure if I folded which I had been folding a lot of SBs, the button would have shoved flop and bb folded. I saw the guys later playing in another SNG together.

That room prints money had no desire to play cash.

Only 2 of them went to level 200/400

Anyone know if you are able to get a refund if you buy in for a bigger buy in sts and it doesn't run in a short amount of time?

You'll get a refund for any unused STT-ticket until the end of the series. Keep in mind: if you buyin with lammers and need a refund, you'll get lammers back, no cash.
