Re: WSOP Circuit tour 2012-2013

Mainly because of the NC freeroll points system. They know people will be chasing points and trying to get a seat in the 1 million freeroll. What if they having better live streams this year, isn't the chance to get a little live stream final table time, a ring and your face on the wsop homepage for a day worth something?

Don't get me wrong everyone should play at the Beau, and with the better rakes of course it's a better deal, but they don't bring to the table what WSOPC does. Not saying huge fields at Biloxi but look at Chicago last year and tell me the WSOPC Biloxi does not have tons of room to grow?

I'll just say both places are great and have great poker rooms and directors~

Horseshoe Cincinnati is not scheduled to open until the spring of 2013. I will be pleasantly surprised if they get a Circuit event in the 2012-13 schedule.

the majority of players are not traveling the circuit playing for NC points. A small percentage is. The fact that they are taking the $20 out of everyone's buyin for the NC freeroll doesn't sit well with me.

+1

I will not consider playing in future WSOP-C events if they keep jacking the rake or "fees" up. I understand there is overhead, etc. but playing in tournaments with < 80% of the entry going to the prizepool does not get me excited to play.

I rarely complain about rake, it's part of the game and lots of people need to get paid. However, if the 365 rate is correct, I would urge everyone to boycott Biloxi. That is simply ridiculous. If you need to play in Biloxi, as others have said, a few weeks later the Rivage is holding a great series.

We dont know if the extra rake is for the NC thats just speculation. Technically we dont even know yet if its extra rake. With all of the other circuits now though there are options....

Re: WSOP Circuit tour 2012-2013

I'll agree, the rake is getting out of control. But like I said the $345's were really $355's so a 10$ increase isnt really the end of the world or a reason not play is it?

To each his own. I know plenty of people will show up, fish don't complain about the rake, so if the decent players boycott because of $10-$20, then that much better for the rest of us.

Some people are selling shares of the 10k freeroll seat, and the rake is paying for the freeroll in some shape/form, so 1 million of the money is coming back to the good players/points qualifiers in the long run.

And if your dead money why does it matter if you lose $355 or $365?

The reason it's higher I believe is that the scammery of collecting cash at the table after you pay the advertised fee has finally stopped. I don't care what they charge as long as players see the true price in the ad and make their decision based on that.

I would bet it's included this year. Although it's rare some people did not buy the dealer toke for whatever reason so how do you get every one to buy dealer toke? Charge it in the rake and don't give them an option.

Thats great, but even so the rake still went up $10... If the rake keeps going up each year eventually it will make the tourneys unprofitable. Which is frustrating considering that that money is paid out VERY top heavy to the people who run it and the scraps go to the dealers...
