Is anyone planning on doing this event? Already booked for a week at the Sonesta Maho resort Nov. 5 - 12 with my family! Curious what size fields they will have for the prelim. events.

The schedule for this series can now be downloaded from wsopc-caribbean.com.

It seems pretty much the same as U.S.-based WSPOC events.

I noticed that all ring events start at 6 pm so players can get a full beach day.

6pm seems crazy to me and I wish they would re-think it. Play will certainly run late each night and with Day 2 is listed as starting at 330pm- I'm finding it hard to believe they will employ the industry recognized standard of at least 12 hours between day 1 and 2. I've been to St Maarten before for poker and they started at 3pm.. a much better idea and still leaves plenty of beach time. Hopefully wsop will change it

I agree that 3 or 4 is a better start time for the ring events! I'm not sure that I would want a FULL beach day if I was planning on following it up with a long day / night of tournament poker.

Looking forward to being there 11/4-11/9. Worst that will happen is I will have a great vacation with my wife. Like you, I am really curious what the turnout will look like. If light, better chance for a ring or making a final table and snaring some points.

Has anybody looked at the Packages WSOP is offering? Is there a catch? Extra resort fees, etc?

if you're referring to wsopc-caribbean.com, I'm wondering the same thing. if the prices are a true total price, and the tournament & cash game buyins that come with it are legit, the rate for the room is very good. I thought it was odd that, when you click 'choose this package', it brings up a blank email to thomas@tkpokerevents.com.

I just booked my stay (by reaching out to Thomas at the email above), and the prices listed on the site are indeed the true total (the $210 for a double room is $174 + taxes & fees).

I'm curious how many events various people plan to play. I'm in town with my family Nov. 3 - 10. Likely playing 3-4 $365 events and possibly couple of the smaller non-ring events.

Also, what kind of fields do people expect to see?

Will do 3B on Saturday 11/5 and 3C on Sunday 11/6. Six max on Monday 11/7 if not playing in Day Two of Event 3 and the 9PM survivor on Monday if not otherwise engaged. TK said that all of events except for the turbo were two day events and all day twos started at 3:30PM.

T-minus four weeks and counting. This windy wet SE weather makes a sandy, sunny beach seem even more appealing. TK guessed 100 plus runners for preliminaries and 200 plus for ME.

This event is going to be great. Great vacation spot + Great Main event structure (20,000 starting stack + 5000 ($30 staff bonus)), 40mins levels on day 1, ending at level 11 (500/1000 blind). Note that you get an additional 5000 chips compare to other wsopc main event (same structure otherwise)

bmoney--Hope you win that package. I stand corrected on the points. Only casino champ and ME champ get seats to championship. No points.

Anyone know anything about the details of the package and hotel? Looks like for $140 a day you get all inclusive food. Is this a nice hotel? What about drinks?

The three WSOP International Circuit Events I went to had smaller fields than the ones in the US for the main event:

- WSOP-C Berlin last month: 398
- WSOP-C Montreal in April: 520
- WSOP-C Georgia (Europe) in March: 390.

WSOP-C Hammond ME had 1,308 entries this week.

I was disappointed that the GLOBAL Casino Championship points leaderboard excludes these GLOBAL casinos. I had several cashes in Montreal and Georgia, so I would have continued playing in the Circuit events in the US had my points counted.

Hotel is average. Food is below average. Right across the road from the casino.
Beach is ok but I live in the Caribbean.

Spot on , stayed in this hotel several times. Keep going back as so convenient casino being across the street . Also check out mullet bay ( 10 mins walk through the golf course ) early in your trip if you want a nicer beach .

And yeh all inclusive is food and drinks. Casino is free (just tip) with a better selection
