This 1st event structure is so strange. For flight 1a, they are paying 30 of 293 and will end the night with about 9-10 players. That means players have the ability to double cash.

^^^^ This is how they ran the colossus and other wsop events this summer. Interesting they are doing it in the circuit rebuy.

I played it and give the this new MTT payout structure two thumbs up.

It has a few small to medium advantages for the house (for LARGE multi Day 1 type events) I suspect you'll see most if not all of these type MTTs move to this format.

More importantly players seem to like it for the obvious reason of not ever having to wait 1-3 days to come back and then still not even cash.

Anyone ever have to wait 2 days to come back to a bag stuffed to the brim with your 11 bigs and only thin hope of even cashing. Or have to knowingly make a bad play end of last level of night only because you DONT want to wait two days to come back to a stack with 11 bigs.


I cant think of any MTT meta strategy changes it might cause a player to make . It only effects the min cashes plus maybe min cash + 1 or 2. and only effects some of those for a basket full of cheeseburgers .

any other thoughts or something I am missing?

Where did you find the structure?

^^ its the payout structure / process vs anything different with structure for levels / blinds etc

basically EVERY day 1 plays down to in the money regardless of field size for that day.

So for example you can bust the tourny in day 1A for for min type cash then fire another bullet in Day 1B and start all over again.

Day 2 starts a few ladders into to money. You can look at end of day reports from Event #1 on wsopc website to see exactly how it worked.

a third advantage I just thought of.... saves lots of non-recyclable, eco UN friendly plastic bags from being used for a few hours and then thrown away as number of people who actually bag goes way down. save the planet.

from what Top Shelf / Cherokee team told me its what they started doing for collosus at Rio I think to solve the cash out bottleneck problem and just make day 2 overall go much more smoothly.

Will this be at all wsopc stops since the wsopc used to say all stops
will have same structure etc?

I found the info and it does apply to all stops.

So how does this affect point standings?Do you get credit for multiple cashes in the same event?

I guess today's 4pm deep stack tourney will go quite late into the night. Anyone have an idea how long these usually run?

10,000 chips, 30 minute levels. I'm not sure how many runners might sign up or rebuy.

Also, how late does the nightly usually run on an off night like a Monday?

If a player bust out of flight A of the main, can they come back on Saturday and buy into flight B?

From the structure sheet:

"Players may choose to play flight A or B"

But also:

"This is a re-entry event. Eliminated players are allowed one re-entry per flight."

I'm confused by the inclusion of the first statement.

You can play twice a day.

I am dissappionted they reduced the value of the Global championship it used to be 10k per player but now it is 1 million + 10k per buyin so only 1.09 million for 124 players instead of 1.24 like it would of been last year.

How in the world did they come up with a prize pool of $1.09m? It says entry is $10K so rake is $150K or 15%??????

Basically spread 1mil of added prize pool amongst 120 + players vs 100.

The GCC was a free roll for 115 people, as they won seats throughout last year's circuit. They didn't spend a dime to enter. $1,000,000 was added to the purse.
9 players exercised their right to buy into the event for $10,000. No rake was taken from their entry fees, either. I'm sure many other people had the opportunity to buy in for 10k, but only 9 showed up, hence the $1.09M prize pool.

What's the minimum bankroll you all would recommend for trying a few of the $365 events? Ty!
