I think you mean live dealers. The PokerPro tables are live cash games (all the players at each table are really there and not at a remote location like online poker), it is just that computer deals the virtual cards to live players.

I wonder if that will apply to weekends or during the WSOP-C. I don't see how they can handle the volume during a busy period.

Is there going to be satellites into the events? Or just those general $100 satellites that get you event buy-in tokens?

They'll have satellites to main event. No satellites to others, but I'm sure they will have plenty of $60-120 sit n gos.

Other circuit events have sngs paying out lammers (ask for $100s if you do not want the $500 the usually give out) redeemable for all trny buyins including other sngs

So is the only fishing allowed is with a fly rod or a cane pole?

+1 I am hoping this will not be a disaster or seriously messed up. After I sign off, I am going to look at the Harrah's Cherokee web site and see if it still has nothing about the tournament on it. That seems like a joke to me. Anyone going up there are they promoting the event? Have they rolled out any live dealers yet? I think the Poker Tec tables will be fine for lower stakes, but I know with the event people will want to play higher and expect live dealers and some mixed games. I don't know if anyone else has called about the hotel rooms as low as $46/night advertised in Card Player, but I had to call Cherokee itself to learn they were block booked a mile and a half away at Quality Inn or Cherokee Lodge. Lowest rate at venue itself was $89 or $99 seemed to change depending upon which Caesar's rep I was talking with. Anyway, thank goodness for the traveling dealers and floor people of the WSOPC, but some functions will need to be supported by local employees. Oh well, worst that happens is I learn it is still easier to go to Tunica, AC or somewhere else than playing poker in NC.

Ah, Poker Pro. Not a word that I could quickly see. B&M on Two Plus Two says live dealers in two weeks. Lot of hogs in NC. Have not yet seen any of them flying around.

Fairly frequent advertising of the Casino and WSOP-C on local Atlanta and Charlotte TV stations, and also billboards.

Poker room staff says they expect to have a few live dealer tables in about 2 weeks, probably for 2/5 NLHE and above (don't know about Omaha, etc) . They will have extra cash tables with live dealers just for the Circuit event.

Try Priceline and use the Priceline Express booking for cheaper rooms within a few miles of Cherokee (not including the Casino Hotel). Priceline Express requires advance payment and is non-refundable, but will save you some bucks if your dates are firm. I used it in the past and ended up at the Comfort Inn, which was perfectly acceptable. You can use regular Priceline, Expedia, Travelocity, or Orbitz if you need to know the exact hotel and if you may need to cancel. Prices will be higher on Friday and Saturdays.

I really wish they weren't doing this during the NCAA tournament...

And for anyone driving from Asheville, do NOT go through Maggie Valley to get to Cherokee. Get stuck behind a RV from Florida on that steep curvy 2 lane and you'll regret it. Take the Great Smokey Mountains expressway through Waynesville to Cherokee. All 4 lane and even though further in distance by a few miles, it is much, much faster.

There are WSOP-C events going on somewhere virtually every weekend, except during the WSOP in Las Vegas, Christmas/News Years, and Thanksgiving. Most of the Circuit events overlap with each other, so many times there are two events going on at the same time. Maybe you could get the NCAA BB tournament declared a national holiday, and then they might skip that also, but not sure if you want the whole tournament skipped, or what?

I just wish this one was say, in May, and some of the other events (that I would not be going to) were during the tournament. Oh well.

If someone from Poker Room or WSOPC checks this thread...can you post structure of the $130 nightly and the $250 Turbo on Sat 4/6? Site says 3k starting stacks / 30 min levels.

Did you check previous WSOP-C events on their website. The tournaments are pretty similar from one circuit location to the next. There may be some differences, but they don't just "wing it" at each location.

Reps from Cheroker obviously have no interest in posting in this thread. I've asked in the Poker Venues Cherokee thread if someone could come here and post. Even included a link to this thread. I know myself and others have questions that could be answered if a rep from Cherokee would come here.

The nightly structures are up to the hosting casino or firm holding the WSOPC for the hosting casino. Every stop is different. For example, Vegas had 10k starting stacks and 20min levels last year.
