Anyone know who busted out from the final 11 and the places they finished?

drove up there from atlanta for the final event and ran ice cold...190 or so entrants for event #12.

You were in my small blind when this particular play happened. In my opinion, you shouldn't have to ship the 10k...but that's just my opinion.

was on the fence about coming up for the last event, glad i did , took 4th ,,, tried to get them to chop,,,,,,but these these young guns had no interest in that,,, they are more worried about the points, ill take the cash anyday,,,,,

Anybody know what to do if WSOP.com is missing a cash? I finished 32nd in the main event and the website goes from 31 to 33 and it isnt reporting to hendon mob etc.

Same here, need to know how to report this as well, they have one guy listed as cashing twice in one tournament

Followed this thread about Cherokee and got great info from everyone so I decided to make an account.
Just wanted to thank all of you for the helpful and informative posts that ultimately led me to making the drive up!

My experience:
Drove up for Event 4 and ended up regging for 4b cause I would've been alternate 67 for 4a.
The line moved very quickly and was very organized for being their first time having it.
The convention room was packed but run very well and I'm sure to the best of their abilities considering the turnout.
I was fortunate to have an actual WSOP dealer so that was nice. (Tho they weren't Happy they weren't getting pushed.)
I had a fairly tough table that included a few 2+2ers I believe. I honestly didn't play my best and ended up going out with the standard AK vs QQ to the tightest guy at the table.

The waiting list was ridiculous for cash games and you had to play the waiting game due to the amount of ppl that would sign up for games and then disappear.

I will say Danny (or Donny..Howard Stern look a like) did a GREAT job of keeping his composure and working with everybody. It was a mad house.
I finally got to try out the Poker Pro machines.
They were definitely interesting and a new experience filled with action, but I think I still prefer live dealers.

All in all I enjoyed the experience and would make the drive up again!

A couple cons (definitely didn't outweigh the pros)
No to little comps for poker.
Pay for alcohol
"Dry" county
Security that pretended they were badasses for no reason.

I drove up and played in the last even(#12), and i heard several people including a WSOP dealer saying they had already confirmed they'd be returning for next year??

is this true? any official word or is this pure speculation based on the huge turnouts and interest in the region?

i sure hope so....Harrah's Cherokee is the only casino for a HUGE area and I guarantee next year would do even better numbers

They are definitely doing this again next year and I believe the above dates are correct. It was announced during the week.

Despite being totally overwhelmed by the turnout for this event I think the staff at Cherokee did a great job accommodating everyone very graciously. Of course there were kinks but overall I felt like things went pretty smoothly.

I was there from Sunday to Sunday and played 5 rings event and one nightly. I expected a good turnout but I was even surprised at how many came for this.

The field was really soft, I had a guy next to me in the nightly ask what antes were and a lady who didn't even seem to know how blinds worked. It was definitely fun times.

Dates are set for next year and I was sitting in balcony during Sundays dealer meeting...floor staff said "We'll be back next year and have more tables and space. It's going to be even bigger next year!"

There is a section on hendon mob where you can report errors. Once it's fixed there the others will follow

Did they annouce who won the drawing for the additional WSOP ME seat?

Yeah they did, early/mid-afternoon on Monday during event 12 not too long after the final table for the ME was fully underway. Don't remember the name, but IIRC he was from GA, if that means anything. Need not be present to win.

While railing a buddy at a ft of one of the nightly tourneys I jokingly asked one of the floors when they would be back. They said the casino was talking about running another series in December. Nothing is set in stone yet. Most likely not a wsopc event. Maybe something a week long with a 1 or a 1.5k main event. Hopefully this will happen!

Hope he was right but wishing for a summer series too. LOTS of tourists!

Where would we even find the name?

I hope they do a couple more tournament series during the year. December and late summer would be great. Fall would be great with all the tourist!
