Looks like they don't have the tables left over to run SNG's. Everything is full of regular players. Frankly, it looks like they might be playing well into the late hours just to get the regular events finished in time to start the next one. I wonder how much sleep the dealers are going to get?

The page http://www.wsop.com/2012/circuit/ has generic structures for the ring events, main events. But can't seem to find structures online for the $250 and nightly events. Before Tunica found (somewhere) a 20 page pdf with structs for everything for the 12 days. Anyone know if a similar doc is available for Cherokee?

I was ALT 97 today. I feel they did a good job of working with the crowd. Give it up for the 3 girls serving drinks to over 750 players.

Just so people know, that is in Whittier, NC, outside of the reservation. I am sure you could bring in anything into the hotel rooms without problem 99.9% of the time, even if it were illegal (not just talking alcohol). Buy why tempt fate just in case they do have some rule about it. You can't bring in your own drinks and candy to a movie theater, but people do it all the time.

872 for ring event 1, ~160 for the $250 PLO, ~500 for the $7pm $130.

I tweeted about this earlier, but according to the dealer at my first table (used to work at Turning Stone, now handling table games at Cherokee), several dealers who signed up decided not to show up because they'd have to take a drug test.

Registration line moved very fast today, having 6 people handling things was a definite plus.

I'm sure most people know this already, but don't be the guy who waited in that ~100 deep line and attempt to pay with a credit card. Not gonna happen.

My tournament didn't go that well, peaked at 22k, busted out in level 10 when my AJ couldn't beat KK.

Edit: Registration is available from 9am to 10pm at the Promotions Desk outside the Events Center.

Remember a month ago I asked if the over/under on 1st in the main was gonna exceed $150k (might've been $175k)? Everyone said under. Care to revise guys? LOL...looks like $300-$350k is possible now!

First time to Cherokee and wow, am I impressed. The property as a whole is top notch and on par with some of the nicest casinos in Vegas. Tournaments are well ran and yes there are some inexperienced dealers but the staff handled things so well today. Later on in the night they started running single table sattys and 2-5nl, 2-5plo, 2-5plo8, and I think maybe a game of 5-10plo. I know cuz I had to stay late and take down the nightly tourney!

Well whatever ones estimate was for Main before, I'd say they'd have to go up.

300K 1st would mean around 1.5M prize pool and 1000 entrants.

Of special note is the ratio of entrants between Event #1s and Mains.

That being said, even a 600 person main at Cherokee would be a huge success and greatly exceed their orginal estimates/goals (p.s. I'll take the over on 600 btw)

I like what I'm hearing about how it's being ran. How was the play overall?

In line to reg event 2. Roughly 100 deep at 8:30. Reg opens at 9. This place is dope

Event 1 went pretty well overall as far as staff. However they didn't have enough seasoned dealers. I had 2 local dealers with one with 3 days experience and other with 4 days. The guy with 4 days was like having a bad home game dealer. However, with the amazing turnout I was pleased.

I'm entry 394 for today well over 100 in line right now.

Still going to be very curious how Saturday is handled 2 flights of 750 just isn't going to be feasible IMO. Assuming no way to preregister someone else even if they like faxed in DL and total rewards? Have someone coming up like 4-5pm for the second flight Saturday and don't think there is any way that works out
