The schedule has been posted for the WSOP Circuit at Harrahs Cherokee.

Dates: 4/4/2013 - 4/15/2013

1 non-NLHE MTT (Event #3 $365 PLO - Fri, 4/5 @ 5:00PM)
Only 2 events are > $365 ($580 NLHE Event #9 and $1675 Main Event)

Non-Ring ($250) Events:
2 PLO MTTs
1 PLO8 MTT
1 LHE MTT

Can't wait to see how they pull this one off. Still no live dealers and hotel rooms are not that plentiful, especially on the weekends. They are sold out practically every weekend without the wsop. You better book your rooms way earlier than you normally book. I'm predicting capped entrants on tourneys & some cash games on electronic poker tables. I hope i'm wrong but just don't see it right now.

It really is the middle of nowhere to boot. Still hoping they can make it work. Will be nice to drive for once even if it takes longer than hopping on SW to Phillyand driving to AC.

What kind of cash games normally run? Is commuting from Asheville every day unreasonable?

Waynesville, NC is about 20 miles away
Gaitlinberg, TN is about 30 miles away through the mountains.

There are also tons of cabins you can rent with a group in the Smokies that should be within an hour of Cherokee

Older, Local motels (clean and generally well kept): Pocahontas, Country Manor, Drama Inn. All are within a mile or three from Harrah's.

Slightly nicer chain hotels directly across from casino: Fairfield Inn, Holiday Inn Express (both walking distance). Microtel is ~0.5-1.0 mi. from casino.

On a budget: Chief motel is directly across from the casino. It is not as luxurious (to say the least), but an easy walk to the casino.

There are many others, but these are the ones I have stayed in.

There is a poker rate for the tournament dates. Call 1800CAESARS the rate code is CHEPOKER. They have limited availability over the weekend under this code. Book rooms early!!!

AnthonyJ, over in the Cherokee Thread under B&M, has already stated an outside company will be running the series. While I'm sure there will be games running on the PokerPro tables in the poker room, much of the series itself will be in the event center from what's been said to this point.

Thanks. Sun through Thurs $89. Fri $199 and Sat $279. Is that what you are seeing? Too pricey will have to check out some of the other nearby hotels.

If you win a first seat to the Main can you play for a second and get cash or tournament chips? Looking for the tournament Director's answer on this one as their seem to be just enough differences series to series that I'd like to be sure what the answer is. I know at Harrah's AC you had to use the first seat you won and then you could win a second and get paid one way or another.

I'm always on a budget but like staying right in the hotel. 89 a night mid week aint too bad. Promo code CHEPOKER

I would be stunned if the tournaments were capped.

You don't want to drive back and forth from Gatlinburg the road is very curvy and difficult to drive on even if there are no problems along the way. Maggie Valley isn't bad and only about 20 minute from the casino. Asheville is a full one hour drive but it's mostly interstate so pretty easy except the 20 minutes between Maggie Valley and the casino which is a bit curvy.

There are a lot of rental cabins up in there for pretty reasonable rates so if you can get a group together I'd recommend renting one.

+1 on Gatlinburg. Road is closed due to rock slide. May or may not be open before series. Road from Maggie Valley is very curvy, slow moving also. Don't take Maggie Valley/Cherokee exit (103 I believe) stay on 74W take exit 74 to 441 only 4 miles to casino. Nice 4 lane highway.

I booked a small cabin at a campground for $45/night + tax. Less than 2mi away from casino plus gets me away from constant casino lifestyle.

I got last one at Indian Creek. Google Cherokee, NC campgrounds and most of them have cabins. However, the starting weekend is also start of trout season so most are booked since the campgrounds are on river.
