Any help is appreciated since Im a complete noob to AC. Thanks
I use Expedia sometime and any motel on Pacific is bound to be cheaper than the casinos. Plus you will be just a $2.25 Jitney ride away from Caesars if not in walking distance. You might want to take a look. There are a couple of Rodeway Inns that are pretty reasonable for weekends but they are like Motel 6. If you have a car then Absecon is an option. But you'll have to drive back and forth for 15 minutes to get to and from Caesars.

That's good to know. But if you have a Caesars TR card I would look at staying at Ballys, Showboat or Harrahs. The room rates in general are bound to be cheaper especially on the weekends. And you are not far off anyway, especially if you stay at Ballys which is connected. The Saturday rates are ridiculous at the Casinos in AC however. I would check the Caesars.com website for rates using your card to see what you come up with.

Re: WSOP Circuit Event 2012 Caesars Atlantic City (March 1st through March 12th)

Just spoke w/ a nice lady at 888-516-2170 to book my room at Caesar's. I used code WSOP2 and got rates of $55 Thurs 3/8, $99 Fri 3/9, $199 Sat 3/10 and $55 Sun 3/11.

Does anyone have better options than this to stay @ Caesar's?

Check kayak.com or hotwire . Chris tryba rents a place for a week for just what u pay on the wkend. There are vacation rental listings on craigslist or maybe stay in his place. He posted on this thread as indariva.

last year the opening event got 742 players $43k for first

correct me if i'm wrong but generally the 1st events in a series are the largest.

However i'm not sure what effect event#2 will have on this... with 2 day 1's and it being on the weekend the casual player who works might want to save a vacation day and just play on the weekend for the same buy-in.
