Glad to see a lot of PLO in the early schedule along with a PLO8...now if we could just eventually get some mixed game events in there...

Very happy witt the addition of big O, but wish they didn't have to drop PLO in order to get it. Last years plo was one of the highest on the circuit. PLO in place of one nlh on a weekday would get just as high of turnout. Higher if it was re entry.

Blame the WSOP and not Choctaw for this as the WSOP only allows 1 non NLH ring event. Choctaw has several PLO games on schedule but just not ring events.

This does not compute with the schedule in Hammond...they had the PLO event and a HORSE event plus, I believe, an O8 ring event. I was gone before the O8 kicked off, but we were definitely under the impression we were playing for a ring in both of the others...

You are right about Hammond but so far it is the only stop that has had more than one non NLH event and it is easier for a Caesar's owned property to get an exception to the rules than a non Ceasars property.

I could have 11 Non No Limit Holdem events if I wanted....But I like my JOB! Hey I play mixed etc also and HATE No Limit. BUT>>>Its a numbers game. Promise me 400 PLayers on each Omaha etc and I would be glad to have all NOn No limit holdem. the #s just do not justify. Sorry

I am sure I am not the only one that goes out of my way to clear the schedule when mixed events show up on a WSOPC schedule. It is the reason I flew to Hammond even with both PLO and HORSE having been $580 instead of the $365 entry so often associated with other Circuit schedules for NLH. Without mixed events, then a Circuit event becomes a matter of 'if it is convenient.'

It is difficult to grow support for an event when the event is never placed on a schedule...

And...it is not as though anyone is asking for every event to be something other than NLH. There exists middle ground somewhere...

Last year the plo got 242 on a weekday. The afternoon event on the Monday got around 260 and the Tuesday event got 230. Seems like you would get just as good of a turnout to me. And if the tournaments are going to be re entry, guarantee more player than not would re enter a plo for 365 or 580.

I'm stoked about Big O, and very happy it's on Friday instead of Thursday. I certainly hope this doesn't change.

We all know NLHE is the most popular...no problem with that. But I think asking for 2/12 events to be different games is reasonable. Last year the re-entry was a 500k guarantee with 4 flights, and this year it's a 1mil guarantee with 6 flights. I think after all that overload through the weekend we need a real PLO tourney early to midweek. PLO plays so much differently than BigO, PLO8 and LO8, and it's so popular in this area, it seems a real shame to lose it.

Is it too late to bother, or can we all keep petitioning for a change to the schedule? Nick is right, and to expand upon what he already said: last year ring #2 (5PM PLO $365) got 242 on the opening Thursday. As a comparison, look at the rest of the weekday NLHE ring events (not really fair to compare to weekend):

#6 Monday (6max) - 356
#7 Monday 5pm - 263
#8 Tues - 278
#9 Tues 5pm - 230
#10 Wed ($580) - 314

These numbers aren't substantially higher than what PLO got. And if you compare it apples to apples with only the other 5PM ring events, it's as dead even as you could imagine.

Are all events going to be freezeout tournaments other than the normal re entry tournament and the main?

If you are talking about ring events I heard that all of them will be re entry.

I busted out of Poker Night In America main so I will head home, play in a couple of Horseshoe Tunica's small tourneys and then back for this big event. Looking forward to playing a $365 with a million guarantee.

Right now the code isn't working yet on internet reservations but it is working on phone reservations.

The same mostly copy and pasted schedule from the last few years is getting old. This stop can definitely run a $1125 ring event and it never happens. The only bigger buyin is a $580 turbo. You don't run any ring event on Thursday even though the market for playing a 580 or 1125 is way different than the $50 satellites you run.

The Sunday after the re entry doesn't need two ring events, especially when one of them start at noon, same time as the restart of the re entry. You can easily start the one day turbo at 2pm and get a lot more bust outs from people with money in hand to play. Plus think of all the players who can't take off of work Monday but can happily play a one day 365 tournament that finishes on Sunday.

The re-entry flights should definitely play ITM but I think this is more of a WSOP thing and not something you can control. But you can at least control the scheduling of the events a little better.

Sunda 12pm: Restart re-entry
Sunday 2pm: Ring 4 $365 turbo

Monday 12pm: Ring 5 $365 6max
Monday 5pm: Ring 6 $365

Tuesday: 12pm: Ring 7 $365
Tuesday 5pm: Ring 8 $365 turbo

Wednesday: Ring 9 $1125

Thursday: Ring 10 $365 or $580 turbo

I would also recommend to stop making your players play until 2am every night. It's crazy to demand such long hours from amateur players.

If you start a regular ring event at noon and bag at midnight, you bring more people back in the building to potentially spend more in hotel revenue/food/other events without changing anything about the play schedule. You are just playing three additional levels at 12pm-2pm the next day rather than 12am-2am the previous night.

This venue is great but there are things about the scheduling that drive me crazy that can easily be fixed, not only for player convenience but to help maximize revenues for the venue as well.

It is a full two months before this next event. I am sure you can implement some of these changes before the next tournament series. I hope you take my suggestions seriously.

So you want re-entry events to make the money on each flight AND to bag at midnight? What would the structure look like to get to 10% in 12 hours with a dinner break?

Seems to me most major tourneys have been from noon to 2am for years. Most players prefer a good structure that gives play time and not "did I draw a lucky seat" style of tourney which it would be if you got to the money or close in fewer hours.

Although that begs the question of WHY noon? Why couldn't it be earlier for Circuit events. My guess is that many who are there actually have real jobs and are certainly accustomed to being up early. The same structures could be used by starting at 10A and bagging at midnight...

While I know I am not the norm, I have to say that it sucks to be rolling over without an alarm clock at 5AM and have to kill seven hours before cards go in the air. Even in Las Vegas for the Series (where it was worse and my body was thinking 3AM was 5AM), cash games were not exactly rocking in the early hours...and for Circuit events, it is less so. As such, there is a decided DISadvantage for some of us who are accustomed to conventional sleeping schedules during the week...
