Although that begs the question of WHY noon? Why couldn't it be earlier for Circuit events. My guess is that many who are there actually have real jobs and are certainly accustomed to being up early. The same structures could be used by starting at 10A and bagging at midnight...
While I know I am not the norm, I have to say that it sucks to be rolling over without an alarm clock at 5AM and have to kill seven hours before cards go in the air. Even in Las Vegas for the Series (where it was worse and my body was thinking 3AM was 5AM), cash games were not exactly rocking in the early hours...and for Circuit events, it is less so. As such, there is a decided DISadvantage for some of us who are accustomed to conventional sleeping schedules during the week...
