Out in 70th for 5K and change. I can't say enough good things about Jimmy and Bill's crew. A fun and really well run tournament.

Ran really good early to go from 64k to 425k by the first break. Not so much later on. Have 435k coming back to 15/30k/5ka. Hope I have just as good of a restart tomorrow with 31 players left.

A friend from my home game won the seniors event and got a ring, it sure would be nice to one up him haha

First, I have been impressed by and continue to be impressed by Choctaw Casino and how effectively they run tournaments. So, I'm not here to criticize, but I'm here to either point out an error or learn how the prize distributions are actually calculated. The difference, to me, is somewhat negligible but still there appears to be about 1K missing from the prizepool.

517 x 200 = 103,400
Minus 3% for staff that was expressed on the structure sheet, $3102, therefore a total prize pool of $100,298 is accurate.

HOWEVER, then when I add up all the prize distributions, the total is only 99,372?

I'm certainly not trying to say that there is something nefarious afoot, but the 5% payout really confuses me and the 3% rake didn't seem to be taken from the only other result list that I compared which was the final ring event of the $365. Of course, I double checked the structure sheet and noticed that it did not specify a 3% staff withholding, as the 250/100K.

Really, I'm just trying to learn how prize distributions work as I delve deeper into this world that I love! Truth be told, while I final tabled, I ended up being down over the past couple of weekends overall. So, even though, I probably shouldn't have I just felt compelled to tip the dealers, even though, I was ultimately down over the course of the series. I didn't tip much, just 26 bucks of my 1826, but still, I did tip. I guess, I wouldn't have double checked anything, except the payouts seemed to be a lot different from the other 100K's I've entered, of course those could've had many more entries, etc.

Just trying to understand...

Ring events don't have the 3% withholding.

No $50 voucher dollar in the Event 68 because it was the next to last event or so. But again, the difference really is negligible given that it is divided among 27 people, I'm just trying to figure out if I missed something?

We use the WSOP Payouts and divide the players by 2 giving us approx a 5% payout. Hope that helps . The payouts can be found on wsop.com Thanks, Jimmy

Jimmy,

Fantastic job on this past series at Choctaw. I had several conversations with players during the main event about how badly Choctaw is in need of a new chipset. The set being used has been in play FOREVER, the chips are worn out and dirty and chip smuggling is for sure happening. I know it is a big cost, but the time has come to replace this set. Please take into consideration a new set in the near future. Many thanks to you and your crews great work at the Choctaw stops.
