Less than a week now and I'm getting pumped !!!!. I shooting for 3 tournaments, Event 1B on Friday, Monday 6max and the monster stack on Wednesday.

Quick question, is the structure for the first day of the re-entry still the same, play 15 levels or 12% of the field which ever comes first?

Yes - looking forward! I'm taking vacation time and will be there the entire run. I did well last year and am taking a week's vacation to have more fun. I think I've bookmarked 9/12 of the events...

I don't recall how many levels they target for the first day. Here's how it broke down last year:
1A - 23/190 bagged (12.1%)
1B - 71/595 bagged (11.9%)
1C - 73/635 bagged (11.5%)
1D - 168/1292 bagged (13%)

Thanks for the link, the structure for the re-entry is what I remember, I know they have stopped short of 15 full levels to prevent a flight from reaching the money ~12%

I also heard rumor at the summer event if you made day 2 you would get your buy-in back for having to wait up to 4 days for day 2. Has any one heard of this?

The first or second event of the series that has 4 flights, if you bag 1A, usually on Thursdays, you come back for Day 2 on Sunday. Schedule for this series is the same.

does anyone have the full schedule? harrahs.com seems to have no info and wsop.com has the schedule for the ring events but I'm wondering about the daily, smaller tournaments.

Wonder if the turnout's gonna be depressed with the massive fires/smoke in the region? I know some of the small touristy towns have turned into ghost towns....

def tragic for the area, but most of the circuit traffic comes from Charlotte, Atlanta, Knoxville areas. Wouldn't imagine turnout to be much less

I was the 30th to register around 2:45 today for the 4p flight. Drive from Atlanta wasn't bad and the smoke is almost non existent right now due to the wind directions.

This is my major concern. It's a 4 hour drive and half the trip will be spent in Asheville. Planning on leaving at 6AM tomorrow but am concerned about the weather/smoke in general.

Drove there Thursday from Wilmington and no smoke or fire at all. Do think I saw someone write down a different name when bagging a small stack in flight c.

2200~ total. Tad smaller but nothing drastic. 101k to 1st

thinly veiled brag but made final 10 of six max. restart at 2PM. 34K cheeseburgers upstairs.

Seems that Josh and Matt Emmel are only two wizards. Based on way tables collapsed only got to see any meaningful play from one other player.

googled them all GPI. Anyone have any other useful info they could PM on any of these guys ? would be much appreciated

thanks. somewhat disappointingly got 7th. but super deep runs is what keeps bringing us back for more, right?

had such a great table draw / opportunity to collect chips early to start the final two tables of 5. did not go according to plan

given table draw and stacksizes I just assumed I would collect a decent amount of chips early and thus was thinking more about possible strats against the 2 wizards and big stack at other table when we combined to 7.

Should have focused more on my table. wont make that mistake again.

six max is a blast though. so much more fun than full handed MTT.

Back home. Managed to play the Monster Stack to no success. But was good to meet a ton of people from stream, etc.
