Looks like it's accurate for the most part, some of the dates are definitely off (especially for main events especially). I've sent most of the stuff I noticed offhand to Seth Palansky.

Looks like there is nothing for Canada this series - shame.

damn on the cincy dates. I see the schedule is empty where Cincy had it last year. Found that pretty odd. Biloxi ends Sept 15th and Southern Indiana(How do they keep getting one?) starts Oct 2nd.

what are the best stops on the schedule this year. I know hammond should be one of the larger fields. Also any tips on travel.

seems odd, cleveland cannot have a stop, i don't see why cinci could not have two to make up for it. even though they are still pretty far away.

Palm Beach, Durant and Hammond will probably have the best numbers.

they still have some totally worthless stops : rincon, southern indiana. would just be better for everyone to give more of the good stops 2 per year. Hammond, Foxwoods, Durant. Places that can draw big numbers.

Glad to see harrahs prison gone. Will miss Colorado.

Rincon is horrible. Terrible location, doesn't draw large fields, etc. Why they still have that location instead of Colorado is beyond me. Probably because it's an actual Harrah's property.

You guys want to talk about terrible locations? Harrahs Ak Chin is possibly the worst location for a casino in the world. Gonna be a lot of complaining when the circuit rolls around to Arizona.

Care to elaborate? I was actually considering that stop.

Sounds like (via Ty Stewart on Twitter).....negotiations fell through with a couple different stops in Canada. Or WSOP thought a stop wasn't ready. Better to be cautious then have a weak stop on the tour.

I certainly don't want to sway anyone from coming. They have picked the absolute best time of the year to visit Arizona, so they have that going for it. The problem is that the Phoenix Metro area is insanely large, Harrah's is an hour out of town, and there is literally nothing to do there besides the whatever circuit event is going on.

No Vancouver stop is a joke...that has been basically top 3 circuit main prize pools for the last 2 years they've had it.

Arizona sounds alright...that 1k they have in August gets large so hopefully the same for this 1600.

Rincon is dying slowly. I live 1.5 hours from Rincon and i'd rather have the Colorado stop instead...

I think people will be disappointed in the Arizona stop. Ak Chin is way out in the middle of the desert. Talking Stick, where the AZ State Championship is held is right next to Scottsdale:

Holy crap, that IS out in BFE. It's not in Phoenix, it's in Az.

Who the heck goes all the way out there to gamble? Must be just locals from Casa Grande.

Yeah, Maricopa is a dump of a town and it smells like manure. The bingo room at Ak-Chin is one of the more depressing places I have ever stepped into. I tend to think not too many poker players will travel out for these tournaments. There are a lot of regular daily/weekly/monthly tournaments in town with pretty decent fields. I guess part of it depends on how well they advertise. Many players might never even hear they are having an event.

I guess the one thing it has going for it is it will be the only event in Arizona outside of the AZ State Poker Championship that can get you listed on the various poker result websites. Maybe that will draw some players.

I will probably be able to play just one tournament since it's my busy season at work. Hopefully they have something good scheduled on a Saturday or Sunday.

Makes you wonder why they thought to build it way out there in the first place.

Yeah, but it's not like AZ is an island in the middle of the ocean. It's pretty easy to get to Vegas from Phoenix or Tucson. I can see the reasoning though. I proudly tell anyone that will listen that my sole Hendon Mob mention is a small cash at a Circuit prelim, lol.

Usually even the prelims are 2 days, FT on the 2nd day. And weekends are usually NLHE to appeal to the masses.

They are limited to building it within the bounds of their reservation so my guess is that was the best location available.

One thing that I think kills their casino is the fact you have to drive right by Wild Horse Pass casino to get there if you are traveling from the Phoenix metro area. Considering WHP is a nicer place, there isn't usually much reason to go to Harrah's.
