Yea, I've seen Radio ads in Charlotte since I've been home. Nothing on TV, but I don't watch many local channels. I also think word of mouth from last years circuit as well as the December Series, which was run smoothly, will increase #s.

I am shocked the HardRock didn't meet their 1mm GTD on the $560, which makes me think a lot of people will be attending Cherokee first weekend and then skip the Main for HR's 5mm GTD. Just a hunch, tho.

Wicked Weed is very good; The Wedge is even better. Not as much weird stuff but everything is very solid and the "bier de garde" they have on tap right now is prob my favorite beer ever.

Omaha8 and 1/2PLO on electronic tables in poker room

2/5 PLO with big stacks and lots of action ran every day out in tourney area and will probably be same this time. Pretty sure that game ran with a mandatory straddle at times. might have had a bigger PLO game as well at times but cant rem.

I heard that one player cashed out for over 20K in the PLO game at the December series, to give you an idea of how much action there was.

don't think any mixed games have run in the past, nor would I bank too much on that happening during WSOPC

yea in december people had multiple g's stacks at 1/2 pokerpro tables

I will be a pokerpro table rookie. I have only ever played live 1-2 NL. Will the adjustment to the electronic tables be difficult or will it be fairly easy. I am hoping I am not disappointed when I get there

last year we had 5/10/20 plo running pretty much the whole time. The dealers as of last year were pit dealers that had simply been converted to poker dealers for the week, and we're pretty rough at anything other than NL.

That being said, the casino definitely gets the clientele during this series to have a 25/50+ nl/plo or a 2/400 or so mix game. Unfortunately there's probably < 5% chance that anyone could deal the game for us. That being said I'll gladly try and start it every day.

i remember the wifi being pretty spotty all over last year and very little LTE coverage. Does anybody who's been recently know how the wifi is in the tourney room and the casino in general?

Anyone know of any reasonably priced hotels still having availability? I'm booking a spontaneous trip down here to my own surprise (the life of a poker player!) and am trying to get a room nailed down ASAP. Making trip tonight.

Also, curious what the 2-5 nl cap is and how many 2-5 games will likely be offered?

Cherokee Lodge past downtown Cherokee may have rooms. Was $50'ish per night last year. I doubt the places nears casino have rooms left but haven't checked.

There will be plenty of 2/5 games going as people start busting from tournies.

If anyone is on site and can check schedule for event #4. WSOP just tweeted a press release saying $365 reentry would have day 1a on Saturday and day 1b on Sunday. The schedule on casino website and wsop website say 1a and 1b will both be Saturday like last year.
