Foxwoods starts the 2013/2014 edition of the WSOP Circuit.
It's not on the WSOP's site yet though, but Foxwoods has posted it.

Not much has changed in terms of ring event schedules.

Only 1-non NLHE MTT:
$365 LO8 MTT

Some differences compared to last year:
$365 NLHE Turbo MTT
$580 NLHE Re-entry (instead of $365)

Is every tournament listed except the Main assumed to be a 1-day tourney?

It says right on there that all Ring events are 2-day events except for the turbo.

Are these structures worse than the megastacks? I can't find the structure sheet for the mega's, but from what I recall starting stacks for those were double what they are for the WSOP circuit. Am I wrong?

I have played several tourneys at Foxwoods, and only had time to play the initial $365 Ring Event that drew 800 runners. I thought the structure was fine, and personally liked it better than the normal Foxwoods Megastacks tournament.

Excited that the WSOP Circuit first stop is Foxwoods in August. Hope to play more events this time.

Yep. The structure is worse and the rake is higher. But, you can't win a ring during a mega-stacks so that's what your paying for.

Personally I would love it if they started you out a little deeper because by the 2nd level you already have less then 100BB. But, if they made the structure better you wouldn't be in the money at the start of Day 2, even in a 365, and most recreational players hate that so whatever.

Recreational players love turbo's and for better or worse that's pretty much all your going to see at any circuit stop except for the main event.

this is one of the best stops to play on the east coast for sure because of the small fields in some of the events. much easier to grab a ring if thats what your hunting for.

Anyone been there know of any hotels that are a lot cheaper nearby?

As a local I'd say look at Groton it's not a bad drive to Foxwoods and rates are better.

yah i have booked some rooms in Groton. Its cheaper than Mystic. Im staying 5 nights for like $350 in a pretty big room. cheaper than Mystic and not really a long ride at all on the back roads to the casino. i've been staying down there alot this summer playing and think the Groton area has the best value. i got cheaper rates by going to the guy at the Econolodge directly as opposed to priceline. i'd just use priceline to get a list and then call on your own.

Bummed to not see any PLO events. Does anyone know if previous year circuits attract PLO cash games (2/5 or 5/10)?

I searched the forums and didn't find any threads started about this circuit stop. I am planning to attend 1 or more of the $365 events and I was hoping we could get a general discussion thread started about this stop.

One question I have is this- there is a good chance I will only be able to play one event, and I am trying to determine which event will be the highest value. The one I am most likely going to play is this one:

8/10 365$ NLH Ring event- No Guarantee

This is logistically the easiest for me to play, but I'm a little discouraged that it doesn't have a guarantee and I'm worried the field size might not get as big as some of the 365 events with guarantees. What do you guys think? I am thinking that any 365 is going to be a very soft tournament, but maybe I should try and shuffle things around to play a GTD event for the value..?
