Umm, nope. Not hostile. You're just sensitive.

[QUOTE=Dr. Meh;52262598 I'm just calling out people who write about this stuff as though they have a clue what they're talking about when they clearly don't. People like yourself.[/QUOTE]

Doesn't hurt my feelings. But certainly not the words of a gentleman. In other words a bit "hostile."

A WSOP event is irrelevant to a WSOP thread because.....?

It might set off some alarm bells when you cash out but that's only IF they ask you specifics and IF you decline.

They need a better system for this event. They should at least call the casinos to verify and/or make the players register the name of the place they work at so they can publicly post them somewhere so people can check on one another. But they don't.
Nobody cares bro. You're talking about them organizing a WHOLE complicated system (which would slow down payouts and registration for all the normal casino employee players taking their shot at a bracelet) just because you think THERE MIGHT be one guy who once mincashed and got away with not being a casino employee.

It's like suggesting putting metal detectors and TSA at a Farmers Market because you think it's too easy for someone to steal an apple from a presentation table. LOL

We all know (at least we should know) why ladies only tournaments exist. There is huge disparity in gender representation at poker tables and ladies only tournaments are an attempt to address that issue. That being said, why on earth is there a casino-employee tournament? Are casino employees under-represented in the poker world?

You are not allowed to play most tournaments if you work for the parent company, so that's why. Also some physically can't take time off if they are dealers in particular during WSOP proper to play.

I wouldn't mind added security at public venues in light of recent terrorist activity. I would actually like to see metal detectors at the WSOP but that's a whole other issue.

I think the employee event has a lot of fraud in it and isn't limited to just some guy. I agree it would slow it down but, call me old-fashioned, I like to have legitimate games on the up and up without cheating and fraud.

If it is like last year, then yes, once the card is confirmed, you can use the card for any of the events for which registration is available through Bravo. That included the MTT's (but not, if I remember correctly, the single table satellites).

Any idea with the DDS will show up for registration?

I may have missed this, but I don't want to scan the whole thread.

Anyone know how big the MEGA 1k Main Event Satellites get at the end of the year?

Like in chip-cheating, I think its actually fairly easy to reduce the fraud significantly. Just impose draconian punishments. If you get caught you will be put on the blacklist and never allowed to play in a Vegas casino again. Done.

This will not completely eliminate this kind of fraud, but I think it would reduce it to such a low level that it wouldn't be worth worrying about anymore.

It's been couple years since I played one but my recollection is these can get 1200 runners on that Friday before the ME.

I remember Aria started charging for poker during the beginning of the WSOP last year and have since heard that other properties have followed suit. Is there any kind of breakdown as to which casinos are now charging? Most importantly, is the WSOP lot going to be charging for poker this summer? Based on other comments on this thread the Rio is still free but I wanted to make sure. I also have the impression that all other Harrah's and MGM properties are now charging but am not sure about casinos like Venetian and Wynn. Thanks for any help.
