As an example, I will be coming for 5 nights in June and that whole trip is comped. I will be coming back for a couple weeks in July and I will be subject to a comp limit. Diamonds do get discounted rates on other nights though, so its still a big benefit, if you can attain that status without losing your shirt.
Depends on your host. I have a friend who is Diamond and gets his whole stay comp during the WSOP. He usually stays for a month out there. He gives alot of slots/table action.

The average Diamond doesn't have a host, just the whales like your friend.

I'm definitely not a whale but I've got a host in both New Orleans and Las Vegas. But I agree that how much a host can/will do for you depends on how much your play rates. E.g. I get comped rooms but not car service from the airport. I USED to get car service, but not anymore as the threshold for those kinds of perks has increased far above my play rating average.

Wow. That's quite a perk. I'm a relatively low level diamond I suppose. I typically earn about 25-30k points per year. I guess I need to start playing slots .

I'm curious if your friend has reached any of the aspiration levels in diamond in order to get so many consecutive comps. Do you know what level diamond he is? You can PM me if you don't want to say in the thread. Or if you don't know, or don't want to say, that's fine too.

Does anyone know what time the 1k PLO Megas have ended in past years? Thanks

Let me tell you online registration is no bonus. I did it last year then I had to wait in line over an hour to get my ticket. People were pissed. Going to the cage with cash would be much quicker.

I'm playing. 100 minute levels will make it a grind, but with a few thousand players, hopefully, it will be a nice payout.

Playing two full days of poker without reaching the money in this kind of tourney seems like a tough grind and reduced ROI situation.
I'm in

Last year plenty of folks just went to the vendors in the hallways and bought drinks rather than wait.

I think it will be a good turn out since you can register on day 2. For me it will be like a sneak preview of the main event as I have never played a 5 day event. I bet over 2000 runners.

That would be great but I highly doubt it. Not even that many last year when it was $1500. Plus you have to skip most of the senior events to play in it. But I would love for you to be right.

Anyone used a credit card to register for events?

Would like to know if it gets classified as a purchase or a cash advance?

Its only 5 days for a very small number of people. I'd take the under though. Its basically a mid-week tourney and players will have to invest at least two full days just to reach the money. So, not very rec-friendly.

Looks like the rake for the single winner NL tournaments have gone up $2 per person for the $125+ limits.

http://www.wsop.com/2017/2017%20WSOP...%20Details.pdf

Used to be winner would get $120 cash and now it's $100 cash.

As an example: $175 used to be $162+$13(7.4%) and now it's $160+$15 (8.6%).

The rake for the other ones might have gone up as well but I don't remember what they paid out in 2016 and years previous.

Rake for the $235 Deepstacks have also gone up
2016: $190+$30+$15 (19.1%)
2017: $187+$32+$16 (20.4%)

Ouch, that's a lot of juice on the daily deepstacks.

Either CET is paying it's dealers more or CET has gotten more greedy. I wonder which...

Questions of curiosity: What's the highest stakes single table satty you've seen run? Highest stakes non-NLHE? Interesting all satties give lammers except the $11k to the $100k seems to give you an entry, presumably must play. $2k stud SNG sounds...interesting.

I will be wiring 6 figures to wsop cage this summer.

Can anyone tell me whats the procedure when I get there to get my cash? Do i need to go to the regular line for buyins or somewhere else? Do I get cash or RIO casino chips? Because if is the latter I will need another source of money to play at V or Aria since I dont believe they will let you change the casino chips that easily for cash when wiring?

Anyone with past experiences can help? Thanks.

I deal the WSOP and saw a $10k with each player doing a $1k last longer back in 2015. Structure for it was pretty long and even had scheduled breaks like a regular tournament. You would probably have to know people in order to get one of them off [Some Asian lady kept organizing them]. Outside of that, the largest regular sngs are the $1ks.

No idea on largest non-holdem. You might get some to run the day before a $10k event for people wanting to practice and also possibly get the money for a seat from playing them. In which case, I'd imagine they would also be $1ks, maybe $2ks if they are offered [Never seen them]. I remember doing a 2-7 Triple Draw sng but it was a lower buyin [Like $250 or so].

Who has played the 8am 1k satty on July 10th, the final buy-in day for the main? Anyone know how many runners and how many seats it paid out last year?

Also, if I play that and win a seat how do they pay it out? I'm already gonna be registered for the main so if I win a seat do they pay out in chips?

All winners are paid in lammers, so you would need to then sell the 10k in lammers.
