Not that I'll ever play it, but I notice the $50k PPC is back to 8 game, wasn't it 10 last year?

Can't say I agreed with badugi, but I think NL 2-7 deserved a spot in the mix.

Also no $10k pot limit hold em which comes as no great surprise

Good schedule, no forgiveness on lateness though!

Personally I love different events and like that the WSOP tries it every year. Its the only place where we get to play all sorts of fun games. Haters gonna hate.

I like different too. Doesn't mean different is good. Top up tourney seems far-fetched. Tag-team tourney seems like a good way to get people mad at each-other.

Other than that, I think the schedule is ok. Would rather have seen the monster stack a little closer to the ME, or maybe in the Tue. slot where the Little One for One Drop is. And its odd the Ladies event is on the traditional satellite day. Do they not want ladies to try and satellite in to the ME?

I think it's a little suspicious where they placed the ladies event, but for the most part, I'm okay with it. However, there is a lot of buzz on Facebook that groups of women are going to boycott it in protest. Reason: if they make Day 3 of ladies event, they are forced to start Day 1C of the ME, which typically gets the most entries, not to mention, it's at the end of the series, which leaves little options for playing other tournaments as well.

Is there any way to see whether there is a satellite day ? Agree the stuff leading to the main is questionable and having the $1111 after or during the main is incomprehensible.

Yeah. Just odd decision making re: Ladies event.

Or maybe it's a way to boost women's attendance in the Main Event, which has been sorely lacking. Women that bust out of the Ladies Event before Day 3 of Ladies Event will be right there in the RIO for the start of the Main Event, might give a bump women's participation percentage in the Main, who knows.

Satellite day is Friday 7/8 per the schedule announcement at...

I disagree regarding the placement of the Little One. That Tue-Thu after day one of the ME is over has always been premium real-estate. In years past Caesars, and then the Venetian got their biggest fields of the summer with the 1K tourneys they held in that timeframe. It will be interesting to see what other locales do in response, but the WSOP is definitely flexing their muscle with that move.

Incomprehensible? It was just a few years back, well maybe more than a few, that WSOP had $1K NLH Bracelet Events on each day of the Main Event from like Day 2 onwards. Having the Little One start after the Main Event has completed Day 1's will capture the thousands of players who bust the Main Event earlier than they wanted. I'd say it's a good move, and something they've done before, I'd hardly call it incomprehensible.

That could be their logic, but I would think the number of women who would be interested in and capable of getting into the ME through the satellites would be larger than the number who would just buy in for 10K.

This change also affects the everyman mix game player, since they play the same in the $1500 mix (non-dealers choice) as in the PPC. It was a 10-game mix last year, back to 8-game this year. I didn't play it last year, but I wonder if incorporating so many draw games slowed down the rotation too much.

The same could likely be said for men. Lots of guys show up for the main without $10k in their pocket. The point seems to be to get everyone, including more women, to the Rio during the satellite days so they'll take more shots at the Main.

When should the ME hit the money bubble based on increased stacks/paying 15% ?

Interesting, didn't look at it that way; it just that when i or probably many travel to Vegas it would be good to have good lead ups and follow ups from tourneys I plan to play. Out in isolation may be good for Caesars (maybe) but inconvenient for me.

The woman's is the same ; a $1000 buy in doesn't have much afterward besides a $10000 event and they or most may not be able to afford or care to afford it.

Last year there was the 777, and a group of events I could enter prior to the main but not this year; the $1111 was during that period of time; seems like a wasteland now from my objectives but not necessarily for anyone else.

So for the tag team what happens if the group of 2-4 players put up a different amounts? The WSOP does no facilitate chops so if one person puts up half of the buy in and the 3 others put up the rest equally do the 3 others get hosed on their taxes? Seems like a strange concept for a tournament for a company that does not like chopping.

Also if the ladies event is considered a 10k they should get more chips.

I noticed the 9pm DDS $365 turbo is raking off $65 for an event having 20 min levels. $320+$45 would seem sufficient. Why do we need 20000 chips to start in a 9pm daily? Just give us the $235 structure with shorter levels.

lol so first the women are mad because men play in the event and when they do something about it they start with someone really, realllly stupid logic saying the structure should be a lot better because it's a 10k. GTFO

Yes, this was also speculated upon in the other discussion I was involved in. We shall see!

Believe it or not, one person's post doesn't represent ALL women in poker, or ALL women who play in the Ladies WSOP event. So, "they" have a variety of opinions, just like the men do. Imagine that.

They said on Twitter the payouts would be in the proportions players pay at buy-in. So I guess they make a note of who's paying what amount. If you split the buyin 60/40, your cash would be divided 60/40.

Subbed as always & looking forward to another fun WSOP this summer.

It would be pretty interesting if someone cashed 3X in the Colossus. That would be an "ESPN" record that would likely never be broken.
