Are you all capping the 110/100k? Trying to decide how early to arrive Saturday the 1st.

For the upcoming tournament series, is there a dealer add on or 2% withheld? Wouldn't be both right?

@andym129 none of the 100k flights will have a set cap. We will be able to accomodate up to 400 players plus alternates for each of the 4 flights. I do anticipate a nice turnout so earlier is always better imo.

@superlena We are witholding 2% for the staff and offering an optional add on for most of the events for $10. The $100k and the $350k main do not have add ons.

I am a regular at PBKC and you have tempted me big time with this series. Will definitely be there for the Horse, Omahas, and at least one $400 flight.

Can I use the players club from Hard Rock and do my credits carry over?

yes your players club card from hard rock will work just fine for registration but credits are property specific. look foward to seeing you.

So the advertised $100+$15 for the HORSE tournament, for instance, is really a $98+$17, correct? And the $400+$40 event really is a $392+$48? Please fix your tournament sheets to reflect that.

Chris, I really respect how hard you guys are working and I understand that your services require a fee (and perhaps you've even earned a nice one), and I also know that you have no direct control of this, but it's really unprofessional to have both an "optional" dealer addon and a withholding from the prize pools and even though I wasn't planning on playing anything more than like the $200 mix-max, $325 KO, and the $165 6-max, I'm definitely going to be skipping these events out of principle.

Hold on just one second, they aren't doing anything different than PBKC did for the WSOP circuit. They did 10$ add on AND 3%. Strife, I know you are a well seasoned tournament vet down here, but let's not vilify these guys, for what the other guys down the street did.

The only thing this really does, in my opinion is cost the dealers money. If there's money already taken out, I have no reason to tip. Now if I cash I'll probably put some money in, but perhaps not as much. However, since my only scores in tournaments have been less than 1200.... I can't really say what I'd do if I took down 5-10k.

Yeah let's compare some rinky dink series with a $400 main event to the only WSOPc in all of FL. Def same value, good point.

In all seriousness, 2% withheld AND DA's is really BOGUS. Esp for a fledgling room that is trying to establish themselves in the tourney business as a competitor to HHR, Isle and PBKC.

Re: WPT Regional: Seminole Coconut Creek Summer Slam - May 30 - June 10

I get people don't like the double dip and I would prefer all the money be taken out up front rather than a percentage. However, you guys are being way to critical. They are taking out less money overall than any other room in the area.

The total amount of money going to staff in buy ins of ~200 is about $14, far less than the $20 add on offered at other rooms. They are taking out slightly more for staff on their smaller buy ins than a normal $10 add on, but given the lengthy structure of their events it is justified. They aren't even offering an add on for their 100k gtd and 350k gtd. That means staff is getting a whopping $2 per player on a $110 bi and $8 per player on a $440 bi, that's a ridiculously low amount for a big field multi-day event.

Also, we should be praising the fact that they are taking out a smaller percentage of rake than other rooms, in some tournaments as much as 50%.

Re: WPT Regional: Seminole Coconut Creek Summer Slam - May 30 - June 10

Really? If people are going to call it unprofessional, or protest out of principle then it doesn't matter if it's a WSOP circuit or a regular weekly, the song remains the same. The value doesn't matter, why would it? Are you saying because the WSOP circuit is a unique event they can do as they wish? In the PBKC example, they actually withheld 3% for dealer staff and admin plus 55$ for an entry fee in the million dollar guarantee. Of course no one really complained, until they saw the prize breakdown.

I've played in every room you mentioned, even being from Tampa, because its fun to get away and all three rooms do good and bad as well. The Isle, a room I love, run some of the best tournaments I've ever played in. But on their 330 in the bigger series, for 2k in chips on a 15k stack they request 20$ DA. That is horrible value for the player. When I noted that to Mike here on the boards, he acknowledged that it was high, but it was done that way to make sure the add on didn't seem like a requirement. I thank him for that, but i feel like an @$$ if I am at the table and don't take the add on.*

Re: WPT Regional: Seminole Coconut Creek Summer Slam - May 30 - June 10

Guys.. we have looked at what the other rooms in the area and what they offer as far as add on and rake and im confident that its much less than what the other rooms are charging for staff/add ons etc. All our events have long levels and for example the 100bi has 30 min day 1 levels and 40 min levels day 2 with no add on. You will not find an event in south florida with 40 min levels for $100. The staff contribution per player is $2. In our $220 $25k guar event we will take out $4 for staff and with your optional add on of$10 ($14 total) it still leaves it under the $20 most rooms are charging for thier daily event add ons. I would like to here some input as to what you guys think is a fair medium as i feel these options are very reasonable in comparison. I will make sure these thoughts get passed to the upper management. If you make it to the tournamnets stop by and introduce yourselves at night. I would like to speak about this more in depth.
