It's HU, ur getting more than 10 hands every 15 mins. The HU last time was run perfect.
Chris, thanks for doing another awesome job, ESP adding the 6/12k as discussed. The main last time was easily the best value sub 1k BI I've ever played. Really looking fwd to this one again.

This series looks great, pretty excited for that Main Event!

Nah, it's like the WSOP staffing fee, it's already part of the very reasonable rake for each event, it's accounted for on every receipt for your tax purposes, and you have less concern about some loose bills not making it to the staff or getting skimmed.

The omaha 8 and the plo will not have antes. The staffing fees are included in the buy in and the chip counts reflected in the book are the actual starting stacks. All promo and satellite winners have been able to select the starting day of their choice. All events are on sale now at the poker cashier.
@muk thanks bud we will see you in couple weeks.

If I'm doing my math correctly, we are looking at about a 5:50pm bagging time for day1a of the 125k gtd?

8 hours and 20 minutes of play on day 1a of the main? So it's going to run 1 hour and 20 minutes over the 1b start time? Not criticizing, just curious bc I need to plan my schedules accordingly. Thanks for taking the time to answer all our questions Chris.
Edit: and yikes, 3:20am for the 7pm flights for our bagging up time? Rough turn around for the 1pm day 2 if you play Saturday 7pm 1d

Re: WPT Regional: Seminole Coconut Creek Summer Heat, July 25 - August 5
Where I live in central FL is about a 2.5 hour drive from the casino, just far enough that I don't want to drive back and forth each day, but I also don't want to spend a bunch on a hotel so close to home. I'm looking at probably driving down for the first couple days, and then coming back on the 30th and staying through the end of the series. Are there any discounts at nearby hotels for the series or recommendations from people that have stayed nearby? I don't need anything luxurious, just a safe place to crash that has wifi. Looks like there are some Ramadas and such in the $50/night range that will work, but I figured I'd check here first before I book anything.

In their booklet for this series they list 2 hotels: Coral Springs Marriott Hotel Golf Club & Convention Center, and a La Quinta Inn and Suites

mike yes the times will overlap. We had to schedule it this way due to time in the pavilion and space. We carried to many players to day 2 due to the fact that we had to stop play early. We will have 2 sets of chips for play and the day time flight will be bagged with the chips for day 2 at the end of play for day 1. During the next event i hope we will be able to do all day 1 flights starting at noon but we shall see. We have to start at 1pm to accomodate the long levels in hope to not turn it into a 3 day tournament.
For those interested in hotel info the la quinta listed in the book is the cheaper of the 2 but u might get something a lil cheaper if you go more east into pomapno and deerfield.

If you're using two chip sets (which is a fine idea), whichever one you're not using for day 2 you should really color up all players to the smallest oversized chips from the primary set at the end of day 1. Please don't mix the sets like Hard Rock has in the past, it's a real cluster**** especially for amateurs.

Re: WPT Regional: Seminole Coconut Creek Summer Heat, July 25 - August 5
Wait, so if you bust last hand of day1A and try to late reg day1B what level are coming into? And whats up with the break schedule? 3 levels, 10 min break, 5 levels 10 min break, 4 levels end day1. Why not make late reg for first 4 lvls, and go 10 min break every 4 lvls...

Re: WPT Regional: Seminole Coconut Creek Summer Heat, July 25 - August 5
The chips will be switched out to the exact amount and all bagged chips will be the primary set for day 2.
The odd break on day one is for the color up all day 2 breaks will be every 2 levels. We seem to proof read these books several times but info seems to still get lost once they go to print.
muk if im doing my math correctly and you bust late 1a or 1c you should be late reg in level 2. we did 3 levels late reg so that is why the break is after the 3rd to allow reg through the first break.

I just called the La Quinta you all had listed and they had no record of a "WPT Coconut Rate"
The lady then went and asked her supervisor who said you all never solidified anything with them, so as of now they don't have a special rate. Is this going to get fixed w/ La Quinta in next few days, or should I just go ahead and call the Marriott Golf Club (will the rate at least be working at this hotel??)
Lol, I actually just tried calling the Marriott # listed as well, and it was some random man's voicemail? This is peculiar, can we get a little help on the hotel front please, C_Robledo!

Re: WPT Regional: Seminole Coconut Creek Summer Heat, July 25 - August 5
I just made a reservation at the La Quinta ((954) 753-9000) and got the special casino rate. When I called, I selected "Front Desk" from the voice menu, not "Reservations". I already had made an online reservation at the normal rate, and the fellow simply updated that one to the special rate (just under $60, plus taxes).
By the way, the address for the La Quinta is:
3100 North University Dr, Coral Springs, FL 33065
not 100 North University Dr as printed in the booklet. Be sure to go to this one, not the La Quinta just north of it at 3701 N University Dr, which isn't quite as good in quality by all reviews.

Tx, appreciate that. Yes this is the La Quinta that I called, however the woman was not aware of any special promotion, nor was the Manager. I did, like you said, choose the Reservations option tho, so I'll do front desk next time
Thanks
