Really really dislike the structure of the shoutout.

If you win a 9 handed table you shouldn't have same number of chips as someone who won an 8 handed table. Even assuming its sold out (unfortunately I don't expect it to though), you should carry you chips to the FT and probably start the blinds at level 9 (500/1000). 150k avg if sold out and I think that's a reasonable starting point. This could just be the purist in me but playing a "FT" of a "WPT Regional" with blinds at 150/300 sounds pretty "meh".

Also I think for the mixed games each TABLE playing 8 hands per game is better than it changing by level. Timed levels per game encourages stalling in games that certain players want to skip. Make each level pretty long (even like an hour or whatever) and just have set blinds/antes/bring ins, for whatever games played during each level.

With that said, I am not intending to complain a lot bc I'm reasonably excited about this series and future ones and will continue to support your room with my play. Just sometimes I like to nit pick the "little things" that might improve this establishment. Glllll

Re: WPT Regional: Seminole Coconut Creek Summer Heat, July 25 - August 5

while I am very glad they spreading more formats especially ones that I have an edge in, I think it is completely unacceptable to be playing one game per 30 minute round in the HORSE.

This will cause brutal stalling and completely screw up the flow of the tournament. Each game has a completely different timing, flow, and effect on stack size. We will probably be playing 15 holdem hands for every 10 each of the other game.

also the HU should be interesting, not saying I didnt expect it to essentially be a HU hyper turbo but thought maybe be a little more play. 50bb starting stacks and 15 minute levels is pretty annoying because you can only 3bet/fold once in the first level. then its playing for stacks.

@mike i am confident that we can sell out the shootout and hopefully that will happen. We have no late registration for that event and hope to have all tables equally balanced.
the horse structure will remain the same for this event and it is difficult to change things once books go to print. I see your vaild point. The extremely long levels are not realistic based on the size of the buy in.

@dad the hu went extremely well last time and some mathces took well over a hour so to call it a hyper turbo might be a bit of a stretch.

we always appreciate the feedback and critcism and will look at all issues and concerns at the conclusion of the event in the planning of our next one. Thanks.

we have also scheduled starting this saturday a 5pm satellite into the $440 main. This will be a $60 buy in and there will be 12 main event seats guaranteed. we plan to do this every saturday for the rest of the month. 6k starting stack and 20 minute levels.

Are the end of day 1's going to be changed again mid-tourney like last time?

and are all the seats given away for the main going to be for day 1A again?

All of my suggestions are for future tournaments obviously. You can balance tables as best as you can but maybe only seat players in groups of 10 and shut out players that don't complete the last 10?

I heard the booklet printed for the last tournament series had a misprint and that's why day 1 stopped at Level 11.

Re: WPT Regional: Seminole Coconut Creek Summer Heat, July 25 - August 5

After looking at the tournament structures, can anyone confirm that there's actually antes in PLO (level 5) and LO8 (level 9)?

TBH, that would be the first time I've ever seen a live PLO or LO8 MTT with antes.

Thanks in advance.

I'm curious about this as well. Can't imagine how slow the PLO hands are going to go. Apparently the antes are considered dead until the flop? E.g. in event 12 (PLO) level 5 it lists the "raise pot" as 1050, which is the same as it would be if there were no antes. If the antes were included, a pot raise would be 1275 at a 9-handed table.

I noticed it mentioned a 10$ staffing fee, is that like a dealer add-on before each event? If so, how many chips. Thanks

This series looks great, pretty excited for that Main Event!

thanks for the response.

the actual time a match takes does not determine its "turbo-ness" rather the amount of BB in play. lets be generous and give 10 hands per level @ 15 minutes. thats 40 hands before the stacks are reduced to 10bb eff.

I guess it is ridiculous of me to want more out of a $240 tournament that takes 32 dealers for only 64 people. Im glad its being spread but I see a pretty marginal edge so probably going to pass.
