The best way to describe this Cruise is: "Illusion - Delusion"
Leaving from Ft. Lauderdale, one expected a Cruise with REAL Poker Tournaments; this was ABRIDGED Poker Tournaments.

1) In standard Poker Tournaments, the blind is 20-min. long; Turbo Poker is 15-min. long. During this Cruise 15-min.Turbo Poker was used exclusively - except for the only Thursday night when this became a 12- minute Poker Tournament - with no prior announcement. Paying the same entrance fee as in Casinos - but getting less is similar to cheating.

2) Why a SEPTEMBER Cruise?!? In 2015 on the return trip, because of an impending storm, the ship had to skirt-around its regular route to get back safely; this year on the return trip, the ship was racing to avoid the worst storm of the season which happened two days after it's final stop in Ft. Lauderdale.

3) In 2017, the schedule will be the same - 9/24 - to - 10/01/17. The Cruise ship will be leaving from Port Canaveral - not Ft. Lauderdale. There is a significant difference: from the Airport to the Cruise ship in Ft. Lauderdale is just a few miles or a 10-minute ride by the Shuttle bus. From the Orlando Airport to the Cruise ship at Port Canaveral is (Google) 45 miles (forty-five). So this is planning!?

What is needed here is someone who can plan REAL Poker with safe cruising.

20 mins is hardly your standard poker tournament...that's considered a turbo, no?

Good to know that this is the case for Poker Cruises everywhere as there have been several here in Asia hosted by APT/Poker King (http://www.theasianpokertour.com/apt...t-poker-cruise) as well as other operators which have ended in low attendance numbers. Another example was one in China which was called the Nanyang Poker Tour NYPT (same Nanyang as Dota 2 tournament) which also did not do well.

I think it's just generally very hard to organize a poker tournament aboard a cruise ship. There are TONS of cruise ships which cater to gamblers sailing out from Hong Kong but the need to wait 1.5 hour till it hits international waters to begin kind of kills the environment. It would be awesome if an operator could get a proper poker cruise going.
