I always wondered why the WSOP and other tours/casinos don't post tentative schedules earlier so that their customers can apply for vacation dates at work and plan ahead, but at least the World Poker Tour has announced the full Main Tour schedule for Season XV up to April 2017.

The partypoker WPT Montreal Main Event will start on Friday, November 11. The C$3,850 buy-in has total vig of 11.8%: $3,395 to prize pool + 3% or $105 staff gratuity + $350 fee. Unlike the US, there are no tax withholdings. The six-player final table on November 17 will be filmed for TV.

Playground Poker Club has the best practices of all the poker rooms I have been to in the world, including the best TD customized software and screens, customer-oriented staff, TDA-compliant dealers and supervisors, live online updates, efficient traffic light system used by dealers, Bravo Poker Live, Copag poker size Jumbo Index cards, free drinks including alchohol served by beautiful waitresses, masseuse at $1/minute, every closed table quickly cleaned by several employees, etc.

The Fall Classic starts on Sunday, October 30. The first-ever Seniors Event in Canada was popular during the WPT Canadian Spring Championship last month, so hopefully it will return in the fall, along with Survivor and Women's Tournament.

Wow Nash that's a very nice post! Thanks!

On our side of things, we're working to bring out detailed event schedules a little more quickly than we have done in the past, but we're still quite a way away from having a full schedule for the Fall Classic.

That being said, one thing we prize is predictability (WITH some twists, though!) so if you look at past Fall Classic Schedules (available via our website under the Events menu) you will have a decent idea of how the overall festival will look. One thing we're still discussing - High Roller ($10.4K), Second Chance ($1,650) or both?

Nash the only thing I would change about your lovely post - we call them "massage therapists" and they are all certified in their field. Unfortunately, the word "masseuse" sometimes has a negative connotation.

Great news! Will try to make it back this year.

Is it customary for winners to tip when there are already holdings for gratuities?

Everyone makes their own choice, but as you say there is a "standard" 3% withholding already and this is published pretty widely so I would hope everyone knows about it.

That being said, some players do choose to leave an additional tip, others do not. As I said - their choice.

I usually tip dealers a % of my profits after an event (or series). While most cash game players tip $1+ after winning any pot, most tournament cashers seem to "forget" to leave a single cent for the dealers, even in casinos that don't take anything out for staff gratuities.

why no 4 card PLO event and only 5 card.

and when are you guys ever gonna do a multi day 'high' stakes PLO event of $500+, $1k+ or even more?

how bout a PLO series even!

Hey Harley - as you know, it's tough to get players out for PLO events. The 5-Card was very popular during the WCC so the idea was to have the best chance of a good turnout and hence a nice strong prize pool.

I guess there is a little bit of a cart/horse issue with PLO at Playground in general - if we hosted more events, perhaps more players would get comfortable with the game and attendance would rise across the board - but for the moment, the Montreal area seems to be a die-hard NL Hold'em region.

Mikelbyl,

Do you anticipate any Open Face Chinese being spread at the cash games?

Thanks in advance!

If it's not on the schedule it's not happening - EXCEPT for Sit N Go tourneys - and we're completely revamping that whole system. I hope to have an announcement about that next week sometime.

I highly doubt it. Sad to say it!

We're approved for OFC Pineapple and vanilla, but there's a fundamental problem with OFC which is that it takes up a ton of space - which is at a premium during a festival.

The best chance for OFC is alongside some kind of promo, but since partypoker (the festival sponsor) doesn't spread OFC I'm doubtful about that as well.

OH - by the way there's a typo in the schedule I posted above - the guarantees for Events 10 and 11 were flipped. The Seniors' tourney has a $20K GTD and the 8-Max has the $40K GTD.

don't totally agree with this...I'm of the belief that if you build it they will come. A high buy-in PLO event hasn't been experimented much (if at all?) in the area and with out of towners and increased traffic in general, there's surely a night that could handle it without taking up space in place of something else that's already on the sked.

it's not always about just getting the biggest turnout for for one individual event as well. like you said, if you hosted more PLO events, it would lead to more popularity. and we both know that there is definitely a solid group of PLO players/die hards to begin with.

PG could definitely become one of the PLO staples in Canada/the Eastern area/North America if you guys would try and let it happen imo.

I played in a home game satellite for the C$3,850 seat. Here are the other ways I know to take a shot at WPT Montreal:

- partypoker $55-$530 satellites. Unfortunately, there are no sub-satellites for a $55 ticket. "Players cannot win more than one prize package" so I wonder what happens to the C$3,850 extra prize that female pro krissyb24 had won.

- Red Club: free $109 and $530 satellite tickets. I have won a prize myself.

- PrincePoker.

I am not sure why you can win only one seat, but it is quite common for party poker live satellites. I dont see here some benefits for partypoker, neither for players. I made it to final phase in $55 satellite to WPT Montreal and now I cant play any other satellites in 10 days (until the final phase starts). Maybe she can use it for re-entry.

That's why it's so strange that the online site lets high stakes leaderboard grinders like you win 4+ or UNLIMITED CPP packages, which means that very few recreational players will make it to Punta Cana. For the WPT Montreal seat, the T&C explicitly states, "Any additional WPT Montreal seats won by the same player will not be exchanged...." It happened to me before that I got zero compensation when I could not use a package, but I don't think the site should just keep the players' buy-ins for itself.

Most Canadian players don't want to buy in for $55-$530 online, so you have more of a chance of playing in the WPT Montreal ME coming all the way from Europe than online local players!

It looks like no 10k HR last year, but I found there was one in 2014 here: http://pokerdb.thehendonmob.com/event.php?a=r&n=256879

Will there be any satellites into 10k?

OMGClayDol we have gone a couple of festivals without a $10K event. Here's a link to the live blog from one of the last ones we hosted: http://events.playgroundpoker.ca/fal...event/event-9/ - you'll see that the winner was Matt Jarvis who beat Pascal Lefrancois for the win. Lots of recognizable names in the field.

For more info - it's an 8-Max tourney so it's very comfortable at the tables, and players always seem to have a good time. It's a big event but there isn't the pressure of a WPT Main so players are relaxed and have fun. The one complaint was always that we used to have it play out over 3 days but we've addressed that now and this one is scheduled to play out over 2 days. Obviously if there were a huge influx of players that made that difficult we would easily adapt but I think we're pretty solid for 50-75 players which will be a good 2-day event.

You can download the structure sheet via the Fall Classic Event Page: https://www.playgroundpoker.ca/fallclassic2016
