Re: WPT Foxwoods World Poker Finals October 11 - November 2
Foxwoods could be the most overpriced hotel stop on the circuit...unless you play in the pits a bunch, the room rates are pretty absurd, esp considering the rooms are about as standard as they get...MGM is def the nicest but if they hold the tournaments in the pequot ballroom instead of sunset ballroom in Cedar, then you're much better off because its a very short walk. Otherwise, Cedar is usually the closest and easiest as you can just roll out of bed and go down to the sunset ballroom. I would just call Fwoods and see where they are hosting the tourney...if its Pequot stay at Pequot or MGM..if its Cedar, stay at Cedar or Two Trees..just my two cents

that's def a very discounted rate- i don't think anyone has ever really figured out the offer system there but those rates have to do with your gaming past or present...a non card holder or newcomer is not getting those rates even during the week

I sometimes get those prices as special offers, seemingly at random times. Not as frequent as it used to be.

I will be making the trek to FW for the tourny and had a few questions that hopefully some of you can help me out with:
1. I am planning on playing the $400 NL Deepstack on Wed 10/13 (my anniversary btw - and yes my wife is very cool with this -she's awesome). When I look at last years results they had 772 entries, and this year they are capping it at 700 entries. Should I use PTSeats.com (never used b4) and pay even more vig, or just register when I get to FW on 10/12?
2. Has anyone who played in one of these events at FW had any problems with floor decisions? What I mean to ask are the floor people competent?
3. Is there usually a gathering of 2p2 forum people sometime during the series? Everyone seems like a nice group of people a for a newbie like me I would enjoy the opportunity to chat and maybe pick peoples brains.

How many tables in what areas? I read somewhere about the new tourney room being built in the old poker room area. Sounds great from a logistics point. Will they still be using the Sunset ballroom for events or sats or??. Havent been the last few years, so just trying to get a feel for how they will be set up this year. Thanks.

Mr C.
There's doing two tournaments per day, so quite possibly both the ballroom and the new tourney area will be in use.

not to be one of those guys but what's the smoking situation like at foxwood tournaments? as in, for me if it's remotely smoky it's not remotely worth it.
