Made the trip down Saturday with arrival at 3pm. From 3-6 there was one satellite table running with a good sized list for all entries, with the predominate games being run of $235 (A sat into the B sat of 5K) and $245 (sat into the $1k event #1).

At ~6pm the second table opened and the two sats being run were $235/245 and $550 on the second.

Left around 9pm playing cash + 2 satellites.

FWIW, standard from previous years for satellites and availability. With regards to the tournaments, they are making small efforts and advancements each year.

Y'all still know you're going to play

On Saturdays, there will still be a couple of tables running from the night before. The first satellite may start around 3-4 PM.

My friends and I are participating in the "Restock The Shelves" poker food bank event next Saturday, but after our game in Georgetown is finished, some of us will head to Fallsview.

Oh Fallsview, you are the best.

Hopped on the phone to buy a pair of entries, one of which was for the 1100. I ask for Day 1A, they say they'll need to courier the card to me to ensure I get Day 1A. How much does that cost, I ask? About $25, because there is some border fee.

So I pass on that because that's absurd, and then they tell me that if I register now but wait until the day of the tourney, I won't know if I am playing on Day 1A or Day 1B until I pick up my card.

That's right, they can't guarantee someone buying their ticket a month in advance which day they would play, and that person needs to physically be at Fallsview to find out if they aren't willing to pay a courier fee.

I can't imagine another casino in existence acting like this, but they never fail to surprise.

Lmao. You won't win a satty because they won't run. So I wouldn't worry about such an issue.

Wow. That's absurd. They seem absolutely clueless when it comes to running poker tournaments. That being said, the action should be great. Sucks to pay the shipping fee, but I think the 1k event will most likely sell out on both days, so I'd advise people to buy them sooner rather then later, if they dont want to pay a premium to buy a seat off one of the local ticket hoarders the day of the tourney.

There were three satellite tables running on Saturday and part of Sunday. Only the $125-$245 satellites ran on Sunday, AFAIK. They tried to run a $550 satellite twice, but each time the long list was called, there were far less than the ten players required that actually sat down to pay. Just like most casinos in the world, Fallsview needs to schedule specific satellite days and times so players know they won't be wasting their entire day waiting for a satellite to the big events to run.

Mr.Position, you can only choose Day 1A or 1B if you are willing to take physical possession/delivery of a stealable entry card. If it gets lost or stolen by the day of the event, you are SOL.

Expect to get bombarded with players sick of such a poorly run event and although most of us will come across like cry babies the concerns are legit and anything you can do to improve this even would be appreciated.

Please address the situation BillyBizzle brought up. I was going to do the same thing until he had posted that. That's absurd.

WPT Montreal and WPT Canadian Spring Poker Championship are excellent. Hopefully, with the WPT Executive Tour Director Matt Savage at the televised WPT FPC, Fallsview management will implement his suggestions on how to improve from the most hated casino.

No, wpt stops are not garbage in Canada.
Youve either never been to Montreal and shot your mouth off about something you know nothing about or you have played at playground and have no taste.
Either way, a very inaccurate and rude statement by you.

I am planning on driving there and purchasing ticket. Questions to those who bought at the cage:
1. Do they still charge cash-advance-related service fee if customer chooses to pay with credit card?
2. Do they have a lot of tickets left for 1A?
