Playing this plus the Borgata Double Play (August 1-3) and Borgata Deepstack Turbo (August 15th) then Borgata Open In September.

Looking for people to share costs with (Hotel, Travel and so forth)

That is such a ridiculously awesome field size. Go foxwoods. Any guesses for the $560 and the main?

Yesterday was crazy. Granted this was the largest tournament field ever, but the morning was crazy. I live 90 minutes away, so I like to use PTSEATS. Foxwoods can't seem to get their act together with this service.
1. I shouldn't have to wait in line over 30 minutes to get a seat assignment.
2. When you get to the front of the line there a three female employees giggling and handling one person at a time.
3. The tournament director is standing there supervising these three.
4. PTSEATS players then should not have to play in the poker room. I paid a vig and registered early. I should have priority to sit in the ballroom.
5. Get the staffing worked out. These summer $300 MTT's draw close to and over 1000 people consistently. Have extra registration people there. You know poker players all show up at the same time. Have mutliple people there to handle PTSEATS customers.
6. Coloring up and then coming back and playing 20 minutes and then go on dinner in the middle of a level is crazy. Make the dinner a little longer and do your color up then.

That being said, I had a good tournament. Cashed in 111 place. I was down to 45K in chips with the blinds at 4 and 8k with 500 ante. The thought of driving home and coming back the next day with an M of just over 2 was not appealing. The last hand a shoved blind and was called. I had 47o and he had AJ. He hit the Jack. Unfortunately he had 5K less than me. With everyone bagging there chips I would have a single 5k chip with blinds 5 and 10K and 1K ante. I pleaded with the floor and they allowed me to go out in 111.

Not sure it was the right move or not, but would have felt better about all the driving if I had 100K. From reviewing the live feed looks like they went through 50 people in the first two hours today, so I am happy to have avoided the extra 3 hours of driving back and forth today. Good luck anyone left.

Is Foxwoods using truly random seating by now (it sounds like from CTFire's post that they are)? I remember last year signing up during late reg and getting stuck at a table of very tough players who had also late reg'ed. I may show up around 11 tomorrow and I would hate to have a similar result.

Believe it or not, the jam may have been the right play anyway given his stack size and the value of picking up the blinds and antes. Unless he told the table he was going in blind, that is...

Jack -

You seem the only one to see my point. At that moment my M was 2 and change. Coming back the next day the blinds would be 5 and 10 with a 1K ante. One rotation and more than 50% of my chips would be gone. The shove gave me the best chance to either double up or at minimum pick up the 17K in blinds and antes. I would do it again.

played 560 today....I dont know where foxwoods finds these people. Most likely one of the absolute softest fields of all time...I'm not even sure the people here know they are playing poker...Foxwoods by far has the worst poker players in the world. They routinely open 6x and higher, they have no bet sizing procedures at all....just 2x pot flop, check turn check river...complete bizzaro world...

True story...middle aged woman calls a raise out of blinds with 2h6h....flop Ah-Jh-Kh she bets 14k with 12k in the pot, dude in cutoff shoves for 42k more and kid in small blind tank sighs calls off for less...she says she knows she has best hand its 28k more she has about 75k behind, and folds the 2h-6h face up...first jammer Kc-Js....sb Ad-Qc

good times...

I believe it. Played in the 340 on Tuesday. Absolutely bad plays all around. Limping all hands. Threw me off guard as well. Oh wells. Regroup and get ready for the Borgata!

Played the $340 also and was suprised at the aparant lack of skill level.

IMO the best thing about these events is the cash game action that surrounds them!

my favorite memory...

at 300/600, co opens for 3600, i rr in bb to 8500, guy jams i call w QQ, he has AKs, i hold for close to 100k pot.

so next hand i'm sb and i'm stacking my chips. 2 limps, i have K5s, i go to complete. take out the 2 100 chips and drop in a 500. well as you know the 500 chip and the 5k chip look a lot alike. i go back to stacking chips, and bb goes yo you know what you just did. i look up and i'm like oh ****. i don't even argue cause i know it's my mistake. so 1st limper jams, he only has 4100 more, so obv i call. yeah he has 7Ts, and of course he got there.

A seven way deal then five way deal to end the $560. Always surprised this is so easily accepted by the tourney organizers.
