Not even close for me, there's basically one event I'd consider starting. I wouldn't have minded having a crack at the MSPT event, but day 2 clashes with day 2 of the WSOP $1.5k 6-max and that's one of my favourite events of the summer. I couldn't put my heart into Day 1 of the MSPT knowing that it stops me playing the 6-max. *sigh*

I totally hear you but for me 6Max is not my strength I had the 1500 six max on my schedule, and only that one (not the 3 or 5k version) but I'm ok with missing it if it means I made day 2 of the MSPT.

I do like how the day before big events like Colossus, Milly Maker, and Monster they only run 1 day events. If one of their 1M guarantee events does spill into a day 3, which would coincide with Milly or Monster then that too is a great problem to have, and it doesn't mean you miss out on the Milly and Monster because there are two day 1s of each.

So yeah I give it an A.

Very interested to see if PH could put up big guarantees to match Venetian but I doubt they will. Wynn probably an afterthought. GN did a good job for your sub 1K buyins. Maybe that is the market PH will go after the 300-500 buyin range. PH can't go for big guarantees on the weekend because that hits at their partner (RIO) and not too mention it's suicide, so only midweek traffic is up for grabs and at the 1k price level the V will crush the action....again well done V.

Remember not every schedule will make everyone pleased; but they in my opinion nailed it perfectly.

Well ya with unlimited reentry + multi flights at $600 or less they can happily make their guarantees as they swallow up the mid stake poker community bankrolls. Keep it single reentry per flight, regardless of buy in level plz, would be much better for the overall status of the game imo.

Great guarantees on the O8 tournaments!

The horse is out of the barn as far as multiple re-entry formats. I, too would like to see more limits on these, but I doubt we will any time soon. In addition, I think the percentage of people who buy-in multiple times in a single day has got to be REALLY low for the majority of these tourneys.. especially the non last day 1's.

That being said the DSE had pretty much the largest non-WSOP prize pools last year, and that's despite having space issues and lots of bad press for a variety of reasons. The fact that they are willing to stick their necks out with these sorts of guarantees tells me they are not ready to forfeit their crown as The premier non WSOP tourney summer series in Vegas.

Thought horses lived in stables, but that aside, the multiple re-entry thing for me is a huge turn off. I'd rather play a $1.5k WSOP event and a DDS / PH 1-dayer, than 2x $600 DSE events because I don't see huge value in multiple bullets. You usually have to come top 5% of field just to make profit if you fire twice.

I don't necessarily disagree with you about the wisdom of re-entering most multiple entry formats, but you have to remember the casino is going to do what is best from a profit standpoint, and multi-entry formats, and the large guarantees that come with them, are very popular.

How long is late reg/re-entry for each event?

I doubt Tommy will be posting on 2+2 anymore given their management's editorial stance on the Venetian. That being said, I saw him a few weeks ago and he said people can reach him at....

PRetty annoyed. Booked the poker rate. Then decided to see how much I had saved. IT would have been cheaper booking it without the poker rate..... Feel like I have just been robbed

Cancel and rebook-shouldn't lose anything.

Hardly worth it for forty quid... More annoyed that Ventian poker room have the cheek to offer this like its a great rate.

This is one of my biggest gripes. For the last 8 years or so the poker rate has usually been worse than the off the street but have a Gracie card with no play rate except for a few isolated days. I often have made multiple reservations to adapt. Of course the big issue is that they act like they are doing poker players a favor.

This. Now I dont want to bother playing a DSE tourny but im obliged too.... What will they do if I dont? Give me the cheaper rate?

That is why you should change your reservation, even though the price difference is small at the moment - to keep your flexibility to play elsewhere.

Are there true structure sheets available that list the blinds/antes for each level? I find only how many chips start and length of levels per day.

The structure sheets are not out yet however their blind structures don't change check the sheets for the current deepstack, just remember the 1100 during the summer does 40 minutes on day 1

stay away from this series and play at planet hollywood instead imo..actually just stay away from this entire property

I agree. lots of massive overlays to be had if everyone does this.

Setting aside the politics, and with all respect to those who avoid the Venetian for whatever reason, I happened to notice that the structures are up on the Venetian website. I don't think they change their structures dramatically, but I did notice the addition of the 250/500 level in one event that I compared to the last DSE structure sheet. For those who are interested:
