Didnt play the WSOP last year because the VDS events were just to dam good and the room rate was excellent.

I am trying to book flights for May but have no idea when this starts this year. Anyone have any idea?

I am from UK so sooner I book the cheaper itll be for me!

I'm not sure I agree with that. The last 2 years it has been cheaper to book at the end of April than in early March. That's what I found anyhow

Tommy just replied to me on twitter Main Event will have 3 day 1's July 12th, July 13th, and July 14th. It should be a 5k buyin.

This makes total sense Bellagio is doing their day 1 during day 3 of the WSOP Main, and then Venetian does their day 1 during Day 3 of the Bellagio, smart timing by all parties.

Can someone tell me how much "Tax + Charges" are?

12% tax and $30 resort fee. So 129 becomes about 180 and 199 becomes about 260.

Holy **** the resort fee is all the way up to $30?

Yeah, I'm passing on taking a Vegas trip this year because of this crap. I'm tired of scrounging to find a reasonably good deal on a hotel stay and then finding these resort fees tacked on afterward. These extra added fees make the costs not worth it.

Especially coming from a EuroZone country. The Dollar has gone from 1.35 to almost 1.00 since last year so that resort fee is insanely expensive now.

ive gotten pretty much all $30 resort fees removed every time i go.

i just make some some BS and call the manager when i check out or claim the internet doesnt work or so many different things. Just complain lol.

last time it was 8 nights and they refunded me back $30x8 = $240 cash on checkout, was pretty schweet. i had bustod my 5k vegas roll so it was nice to return with some money LOL

you have to be a sucker really to not manage a refund, they give them out pretty easily. sample size 3 trips over 2 years.

Unfortunately, when it comes to resort fees, or any other "fine print" sort of stuff, whether its a cost to the consumer or even a benefit, it turns out the squeaky wheel gets the grease. They make things overly complicated knowing that a significant number of their customers are either stupid or lazy. Those that aren't and complain, can usually get a good deal, but there are enough people who just don't make an effort that its in the hotel's financial interest to keep on rolling out annoying policies. Its the same in a lot of industries. Caveat emptor. We've become a society with infinite information at our fingertips, but I think its actually made people less vigilant.

awesome, haven't looked in detail as playing online but looks soooooooooo much better for plo/plo/o8 even bigO this year.
