Hello Fear the Spear,
I certainly agree with you that there may be an overlay in this tournament. My comment was that i would be surprised if this tournament drew well...attendance wise that is. This event goes up against 2 tough competitors...the WSOP running out in Vegas and here in our own state the same Seminole Indian Tribe that owns Tampa HardRock is running a $350,000 guarantee tourney down in Coconut Creek with only a $440 buy-in...a far cry from the $2250 WPT entry fee and very little difference in prize pool guarantees...350k vs 400k. Myself and a half dozen other who live a couple hours from both Tampa and Coconut Creek will be heading down to South Florida next week for the $440 tourney. For us casual tournament players it often comes down to the best value and I am loving the Coconut Creek tourney structure/entry fee/prize pool combo over Tampa's. Best of luck if you play in the Tampa event.
