This statement could not be any more incorrect, there is a huge need for food service,(ppl do not prefer these options they are forced to use them because the only available option is to rush to one of the places on 15 min break and then have to miss hands after break to go pick up the food) as well as a deep stack 5/10 nl game as an option 1k-5k buy in, a 5/10 no limit game with time rake and no jackpot as well as many other issues that just aren't ever taken care of.

If I ran this poker room it would not be known as THE WORST RUN POKER ROOM IN THE COUNTRY, it would be the best poker room on the east coast and no one would have any need to go to the isle, gulf stream or whatever bull **** card rooms they have in miami... I would have a million dollar guarantee tournament every couple months w a 500-1000 dollar buy in w a little advertising, satellites, and single table tournaments run around the clock and reaching the guarantee every single time...

Apparently the ppl at the hardrock just seemed to stand by and see kennel club do it last year with ease and not even attempt a go at it. (kennel club turned away probably 500 heads last year for their million gtd) Bottom line is fl is the biggest poker market in the country besides Las Vegas and the tables would be full every day if you actually cared or did your job.

There are numerous dealers who should be instantly fired as well as a tournament director who should have been fired before he was hired due to his complete and utter incompetence (The genius Jeff for those of you who have ever had to deal w I apologize for this....) at the end of the day this room is just so grossly mismanaged it makes me sick and if others have any problems I hope you also voice your concerns here because when it's all said and done come Monday august 28th this room will go back to a predominantly 2/5 no limit room and all of the big games in fl will be played somewhere else other than the hardrock. (which is absolutely outrageous for a casino that is the only and premier casino in florida

) I could go on all day but at the end of the day it's just a waste of breathe bc no one seems to care.... sorry for highjacking live tourney thread here guys but something really needs to be done here and everybody praising this place saying oh tourney was run great are just either lying or wrong.... point being while first tournament was a great tourney it should have been way better-1st tournament 300k guaranteed that produced a 500k prize pool, should have been 500k gtd which in turn way more ppl would have traveled for first event made a way bigger prize pool.

heres a thought these people who traveled a few weeks earlier than jut for the main would be at the hardrock spending money at stores/restaurants and the biggest of all for the casino putting their money on the blackjack tables and into the slots....

It's time to get a clue and make this poker room what it should be .... trim the fat fire people who take no pride in doing their jobs/hire and promote people that do and teach all employees some customer service skills.... Iv'e seen floors flat out yell at customers and I'm not even going to get into how awful the cocktail servers are as I'm sure some other people on here can take care of that plus the other 99 problems they have with this poker room.

I agree, there are very much only care about making money not customer satisfaction. That's what no real competition does to your business.

I TOTALLY disagree . The hard rocks poker room gives a ton in promo money out every month. I LOVE the free rolls and play for the gift cards every month . I

@Bryanknows

Nice post. You have definitely shown you have the credentials and temperate to run a multi-million dollar poker room. Your idea about a million dollar gtd every few months is genius and sure to be a success.

While I hesitate to disagree with your omniscient wisdom, my recent experience has been quite the opposite. The customer service I've received from several dealers and floors has been great and is light years better than a year ago.

While there's always room for improvement in any poker room (poor cocktail service, unprofessional dealers, etc) I have found William Mason to be very receptive to his customers and constantly trying to make improvements. He might even take the time to listen to you in person or respond to a PM.

I could be wrong though, attacking him, his employees, and his poker room, in such a thoughtful constructive manner in an open forum, should illicit a much better response.

Re: Seminole Hard Rock Summer Splash (WPT Regional): August 10-27

although bryan knows is totally out of line with the tone of his post he does have a few points that are pretty accurate.

the action at the hardrock has significantly dropped off in the last few months while other poker rooms in the area have increased or stayed the same. there are no games above 2/5 that run on a daily basis. i have to think it has a lot to do with the management of the way the room is run.

the hardrock would only need to be adequately run for it to have the most games with the best action considering its central south florida location and its resort style casino atmosphere with night clubs, restaurants, hotel, pool, and table games

with that being said this tournament was run extremely well. very good turnout, im not sure how you can complain with a 1700+ person tournament. sure guarantees could always be higher but casinos dont want to risk overlays, nor should they.

i agree that the food options are limited and very poor. there is 1 place that you can get food from during break without missing a hand and it is very crappy and overpriced. i just packed a lunch and snacks to compensate for this which is fine with me.

Re: Seminole Hard Rock Summer Splash (WPT Regional): August 10-27

clearly I know im a little out of line by saying all of this however I personally believe everything I said to be accurate and true... hard rock should be the borgata of the south and it is not due to severe mismanagement.... I agree there are many great people that work at the hardrock that are helpful, informative, and know their **** and for these people I am sorry that you have had to work at an establishment that does not set you guys up for success. However, I contest there is a small percentage of people probably like 20% of staff all across the board from management down to chip cashier that completely bring this place down and if they cut the fat which is definately the role of poker room manager to make sure that everyone is in line properly trained and are equipped with the tools and experience to perform the job that they are hired for. As stated earlier.... you hire and promote the people who are good and take pride in doing their jobs well and you fire the ones that dont.... simple as that. As for complaining about a tournament of 1700 and some I was only insisting that the opening tourney has always produced a prizepool of 500k or more and if they slap that on it instead of handcuffing at 300k gtd they can only do better not worse.... I don't think there really can be any grounds to an argument here...

Good tourney, agree could be better and you guys have most potential that is going untapped. Floor guy at beg of day1a was telling everyone in my section of ballroom that the tourney was not RE on same day, can only RE 1b etc. I said the structure sheet said RE 1st 4 levels. He came back after speaking to a superior and had them make the announcement. A floor guy not knowing the RE period is kinda unacceptable IMO. It's bad for the prizepool and bad for your business.

The cash game scenario is bizarre. I heard there wasn't even a 5/10 going on sat nite. Not a good sign for the room at all.

This is not the correct procedure. Please PM me with the details and I will look into it.
