3. We need players playing the huge seat guaranteed satellites on the days leading up to the main event and there was a 1K 6 max that brought some pros in early.
4. The $2,650, $1,100, and the $25,400 all exceeded expectations with the numbers that attended.
Obviously missing the guarantee sucks but I think keeping the program the same with the compliments they received plus another promotion that is already in the works gets the number over the guarantee. I hope they don't change much if anything.
the main was fine I have no complaints about that (aside that a few locals griped about not having anteless levels). Not sure how I'm missing the point about that.
Not sure how I'm missing about the megas being filled when I suggested more megas needed to be ran. And I think you're also failing to see that traveling to such stops for 4 days isn't always best. You realize that the EPT stops are like 10-12 day stops and people schedule months in advance to go to these right?
Having a few bigger (doesn't necessarily have to be big buyins) MTTs leading up to/after may help get more people to come (or for some, to stay after the WSOP in the States to attend this). Also, nobody came in specifically for the 1k 6max. Most people were already there or showed up Friday/Saturday (the traveling pros).
I want this stop to be as big as you want it to be Matt. I'm suggesting things that MAY get people to come (and for a longer period of time). Maybe they won't, but, in my experience, these kind of things/schedules have generally worked out well.
Also, the majority of "non" pros that have played the last few years are all locals. They'd play the main whether it was a 4 day mtt or a 5 day. They live there. I'm sure even some of the 'non pros' who travel to here would do the same. Nobody tells their job 'hey im gonna be gone for 2 days for sure but up to 4', they just say they'll be gone for 4.
